This is a great airbrush compressor for makeup! It has plenty of airflow, in fact, I typically only use it on medium for my foundation. So, if you were going to use it for spray tanning, high would probably work perfect for that. This package comes with the hose, compressor and plug-in wall adapter. TCP Global ships really fast and they also have great customer service. Yes, I have called them with questions and they are great to talk to! Also, I think this compressor may have better airflow than some of the other brands, and that makes it more versatile. I have a twin piston air compressor that I thought would work okay for makeup, but it was just too inconvenient. I like being able to have this sitting on my counter and for the price, I couldn't resist it. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase!! Also, it sounds like a fish tank air pump. But don't think you are going to get one with this much power that has adjustable air settings. You will end up paying more and wish you had just got this one instead. You need a certain amount of air pressure to be able to push the makeup through the airbrush.*********************************************UPDATE 8/17/14*****************************************Still runs like a champion!! I use this pump with my Iwata C Plus airbrush and it is still working great and in my opinion is very quiet. I am still loving it!! My Iwata sits beautifully in the airbush holder on top and that is where I leave it. There have not been any glitches and I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend to anyone wanting to use for airbrush makeup.TIPS:When using airbrush makeup, be sure to shake up the makeup really well before putting it in your airbrush. The powder settles and will clog your airbrush.Keep the airbrush moving in circles and about 5-6 inches from your face. You will be able to feel the cool moist makeup hitting your face, move on to the next area.Don't stay in one area too long as the makeup will accumulate and leave an orange peel effect.Keep the airflow low. If the airflow is too high you will go through makeup way to fast. I have found 8-9 drops is what I use for my whole face.Close your eyes when applying the makeup so that you can learn to feel the makeup going on instead of trying to place it. It will turn out better and more even.Once you are used to applying the makeup evenly, try applying with your eyes open. If you find you are applying to heavily in areas, go back to closing your eyes again.Less is more with airbrush makeup. Use a coverup stick prior to applying liquid foundation if you need extra coverage in areas.If you are using a powder blush, allow the makeup to dry before applying the blush.After I am finished applying the makeup, blush, and setting powder, I use a makeup setting spay and my makeup stays on my face day and night, until I take it off.A trick I learned to give the appearance of little to no pores, is to use monistat chafing gel on my face. It is the same as using a primer "dimethicone", at a fraction of the price. I found it at Target and they also sell it on Amazon. It really works. Allow it to set.Allow it to dry, about a minute, and then apply foundation. It truly gives your face a flawless finish. Do not try to put it in your airbrush.

BEWARE, THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK! I have only had this for a little over two months and it completely stopped working. The power turns on, but it just makes a light humming noise and there is 0 airflow. SO ANGRY!

WELL THIS COMPRESSOR ONLY YOU HAVE A DEFECT NO INSTRUCTIONS AND BRINGS THE HOSE CONNECTION NOT COME AND FEEL INCOMPLETE.  NOT INDICATED HOW TO CONNECT THE COMPRESSOR HOSE AND ALSO TO AIRBRUSH. HOSE DOES NOT LOOK GOOD QUALITY YOU CHECK THIS

I use Dinair airbrush products and my compressor broke about18months after purchase. Dinair wants me to pay to ship my compressor back to them, pay $45 to have it repaired! I would be without my make up for I didn't know how long. This air compressor is the perfect solution. More affordable, received it quickly, WORKS GREAT! Keep your airbrush gun and tubing. Mine for this compressor. Small learning curve to understand how compressor works with Dinair gun. ALSO QUIETER than Dinair compressor!!!

I asked if this item was suitable for blowing loose hair off the clients faces in a barbershop..I the reply was yes so I brought it..but the air pressure is very soft..I'm not happy with this product..do u accept returns for credit to repurchase another 1, or refund?

I spent a lot of money on my first compressor from Dinair. It broke in 4months (a month after the Dinair airbrush stopped working). I tried to get a new one under the year long warranty but didn't fill something out correctly so I didn't have the warranty. I found this one and decided, for the price, I'd take the risk. It works PERFECTLY! I've had it for a little while, it seems sturier and stronger than the Dinair compressor. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

It stopped working after barely two weeks of use. The air pressure reduced significantly. It basically broke down. It was good in the very beginning but it did not maintain the quality. I am disappointed. Maybe it is was just a faulty unit.

Bought this as a gift for a friend to use for paintings. Seems to work just fine.
