Is this product made from post-consumer recycled paper?

The answers to this question are really old. The current packaging claims the product is "100% post-consumer recycled paper"

Why are some people saying this is not made from recycled material, when the process is described?

Is the plastic wrap pete or actually recyclable?

Thank you for your question. The plastic wrap on our reams of paper can be recycled where category 5 flexible plastics are accepted. The reason we use plastic wrap has to do with maintaining the paper quality. At retail the poly wrap helps protect the paper from damage because of the handling, etc. The plastic wrap also protects the paper during the shipping process because its stronger than paper wrap. More often than not reams of paper shipped in oversized corrugate boxes typically do not survive in transit and break open (causing damage) due to the paper wrap. Additionally, paper wraps have a poly coating on the inside which makes them non-recyclable products. No matter the type of wrap, there needs to be some sort of moisture barrier to protect the paper inside. If not, customers would receive their paper damaged. Currently, we are working closely with wrap suppliers to develop a sustainable ream wrap that is recyclable.

Is this paper recyclable like other paper?

Yes, this paper is not only made from 100% recycled paper, but it is fully recyclable.
