WIX Racing Filters Air Filter Panel

I recently purchased a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins turbo diesel engine. Although it was a one owner vehicle and the previous owner seemed to take good care of it from the looks of the outside of it, I like to change necessities such as filters and fluids to make sure my truck is getting the best treatment possible. I plan on taking a road trip to Georgia at the end of this month, and the one thing I haven't yet changed is the OEM air filter. Originally I was going to buy an aftermarket intake system for my truck, however, after doing extensive research on forums, I learned that the stock air intake system, combined with this specific filter is the BEST filtration system you can possible have, putting down stock horsepower numbers. After receiving this and comparing the stock filter with this Wix filer, the difference is HUGE (Or as our president would say, YUUUGE). This WIX filter is like a father figure to the original filter, there is literally no comparison. Installation was super easy, opened up the air intake box with two clips, popped the old, dirty, clogged air filter out, put the new, heavy duty, clean, thick airfilter in, and sealed up the air box. Surprisingly the Wix filter fits PERFECT and WAY better than the OEM filter did, with this filter the air box actually seals 110% and fits very snug. I haven't driven the truck much yet since I've replaced the filter, but overall I feel way better knowing that I now have double the filtration protecting my motor. I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins motor in it. I have tried cold air intakes, washable filters and other brands of filters, but this filter gives the best in filtration of all. It is designed for a deep air box giving a ton of surface area to soil making it extremely long-lasting and protective. Engines need good filtration, and this one delivers from all aspects, including fitment. Your engine is only as good as the fuel you feed it.

Read reviews on this air filter before purchasing and heard grumbles about the tight fit. Also saw reviews about how it fit just fine. My application is for a 2005 Ram 2500 Cummins. This air filter has about 1 1/2 times the filter media that my Napa filter had that I removed. The Wix filter looks awesome and I know that it is doing a great job protecting my engine. That's why I bought it. If you want to believe it fits perfectly in the intake and you won't have to coax it into place you are mistaken. Furthermore, if you think your stock lid with the 4 plastic tabs and 3 snap latches will then fit back into place perfectly without a significant struggle as well, again you have been fooled. It is a beast to get in but if you are like me, you will find the way to get it in because you believe your truck deserves the best air filter, even if it has the worst fit you can ever imagine. I got mine in only breaking one plastic guide tab. You can do better! Buy it to properly protect your well loved truck. Put up with the struggle of installation because all good things seem to come with a struggle. Highly recommend this filter for stock intakes.

03 Dodge Cummins Install was easy, snug but good fit. This filter has a lot more surface area than the factory recommended filter, so should breath easier than the factory filter.

A better quality filter than Fram. Longer filter vanes give better filtration for my Cummins 5.9. Won’t ever skimp on quality to keep my engine clean
