I love the Schwarzkopf hair dolor products, and have used them for some time now. However, when I used this particular one, something was wrong. Normally, when you mix the color creme into the developer, it turns a bright red, It did not this time. Instead, it remained the color of the developer. I noticed that there was no ammonia smell either, usually that is quite pronounced. The mixture did not turn red upon application either. After coloring, my hair is usually a very nice, almost rose gold color, because it was red before. Not this time. Now I am more blonde than rose gold. I have another one coming and will see what happens when I use that one. I don't have a before and after picture to show.

I know the color outcome and that printed on the box often vary a bit, but I regularly dye my hair some variant of auburn so it works out. This particular brand and shade are so misleading its nearly criminal. There MUST be some indication on the package that the product within will drastically change your hair to a permanent, deeply pigmented, Crayola red-violet (think Splat, Lime Crime, Manic Panic) that DOES NOT FADE OUT like normal colors from this brand. People have jobs out here. The only choice for undoing this huge mistake is to dye my hair a very dark brown or bleach it, either of which will result in my having to cut it short and grow it out over the next several years. I am deeply disappointed and aggreived about this outcome.If I could give the product negative stars, I would.

1st time using this product Never thought I would achieve this color without bleach. I only did the back of my hair to test it. And boy do I regret not doing all my hair. But I will. The smell was a bit strong, i had to move to a bigger room with a patio and opened slide door. Good thing it wasnt messy like other brands. Didn't stain my skin. Easly washed off. Did not stain my bath tub like other hair dye. Found my new brand. Shared 2 pictures indoor and in the sun.

This is the best hair dye. If it goes off the market I don’t know what to do. I’m getting older I got grey hair. I use the crimson so it’s already red. I rinse my hair till it’s clear of red bleeding out. Then I use a semi permanent red and I have bought every color of red on Amazon. I rinse it until it’s clear. My color never fades and my hair doesn’t bleed. I also use a keratin clarifying shampoo & conditioner. Trust me on this process. I’m back here to buy my 4th box also my grey does not loose the red color especially after I use a semi permanent. because I mix different red in the semi permanent process of my hair dying. My hair color is beautiful. I love it!Also with other hair dyes my hair looks dried and fried. I don’t have that issue with this product.I also bought the blonde box also. And it also works great.

I’m three weeks into this hair color and it is still bleeding bright pink when I wash it every night. I’ve tried the Schwarzkopf Keratin color one other time in a red color and it was fine but this one is just not right. I’m going to stick to the Schwartzkopf Ultime for as long as I can get Mahogany Red.

This is day one, right after doing. Now it did wash out some more but the color seems to still be fine. We'll see as time goes, but it does stain the skin a bit.Update: 72hrs later and the color bleeds out when I wash it.

When I bought this product I did so deciding to go with a different red dye than I normally do, so I tried this one. The red is super vibrant. When I use red dyes they typically fade within two weeks this particular dye it’s been around 2 months and the color has stayed. Super impressed, I will say the dye still washes out after each hair wash but I don’t mind it as the color has stayed. The smell is good too, it’s not over powering.
