Will this cut 1/2 cementboard?

It cuts hardie backer board better than cement board because cement board is more of a cemented material with thread inserted.

Can i use this on a 20v drill?

yes you can i use mine with a a ridgid 18 volt drill just make sure it is a drill and not a impact driver

Can this be used to cut 5/16" cement board siding (cemplank), as opposed to backer board?

Absolutely. In fact, I didn't know it would cut backer board. I built a shed with 5/16" hardiboard siding all the way around, and it was one of the life savers of the project.

I want to add trim around windows, can this be used on already installed cement fiber board?

No, the cutting mechanism on the tool needs at least 1” space behind the board in order to travel freely up and down while it cuts
