Sushi Making Kit by Yomo Sushi - Sushi in 4 easy steps

I like how easy this sushi making kit is to use. I have made several tuna and avocado maki rolls and more. Clean up is really simple as well.

So, one thing to keep in mind is, have a paper towel with a little bit of oil on it (cooking oil, I use peanut). You'll need to slide it along the rolling bar every few sushi rolls, otherwise, the sushi will stick to it (this is for inside out rolls, though maybe useful generally).Making inside out rolls is really easy with this. The mat on mine is tearing a bit in the corner, after a few years of use, but it still works. I never used the cutting tool, just a normal cutting board.So much easier than bamboo mats. And wildly easier to clean.

The product presentation on the video will really get your attention and will encourage you to buy but actually its not the real deal. Its not easy to use. You need to put plastic wrap to the roller so thy the sushi rice will not stick on it and you can just do it in potrait of the sushi nori meaning the roll will be small and you can just make 8 cut on it. Well the sushi cutter is very hepful. The cutter is the one useful in this product especially to those who have business of making sushi because this will speed up your work it will take more time.

You can make shop bought sushi with this kitchen gadget based on 2 important factors : perfectly cooked sushi rice and correct technique (watch the video.) Our first attempt was a fail because the rice was mushy and turned to goo when pressed, second attempt was better but rice was still too wet, third attempt was perfection. I use saucepan method (first 2 attempts in rice cooker). Equal parts rice to water, make sure you rinse and soak and don't be tempted to lift the lid! Always have damp hands when handling the rice so it doesn't stick, same with sushi maker.The only drawback is you cannot buy replacement mat. The mat has a small tear in the corner which will only keep getting bigger over time.

I felt for the price, this item was very flimsy. There was no instructions with it. It was a loose piece in the box, not sure what it was, or how to attach it to anything. It's made of cheap looking plastic. Didn't really feel like it would work. Didn't even try it. I bought a sushi rolling mat at my local grocery store for less than $2, and it works great!Thanks.

I've been hand rolling sushi for a few years, but my rolls are not real consistent and rice on the outside of a roll trips me up. This sushi tool helps to keep the rice a consistent depth and smooth, then the rolling system helps you get the rolls nice and tight with lots of ingredients stuffed inside! Then, tight consistent rolls are easier to cut into consistent size pieces! My family thinks I'm a pro!

So much easier then a bamboo mat!My wife and I enjoy eating sushi and with the pandemic we wanted to make it at home. We first bought the bamboo mat and it was very tricky to get that to work. With the Yomo Sushi it made life so much easier. We made perfect rolls everytime! We would and have recommended this to friends and family.
