One full round around body should give you the chest width. Thanks **Q: does it have an ID pocket?** A: The item has lots of pockets to use as you may wish. There is a left chest pocket with flap suitable to hold a small radio. There is a right chest 2-tier, 4-division pocket. There are two lower outside patch pockets with flaps. There are two interior patch pockets. All should be of sufficient size to hold your ID, but none are transparent to reveal your ID. **Q: What are the dimensions for each size? (interested more in circumference than length)** A: I believe there is a chart. I would be careful the stickers/letters peel. Poor quality. I would buy a vest and get it embroidered if I were you. (Note: some may prefer the larger perforating because it could keep you cooler, but it comes at the expense of appearance.)Secondly, the lettering is applied with a home "heat transfer" vinyl style and NOT printed Ink! This is NOT a commercial printing method!The lettering looks and feels cheap and will likely come off with use as it is not Printed, but "ironed" on vinyl lettering. In addition, the lettering is not level.(See my attached photos). In the attached photos I have placed this vest (on the left) with my other vest (on the right) for comparison. In my opinion this vest looks cheap and homemade compared to other vests WHICH COST LESS!Furthermore, notice how this vest only has ONE reflective line on the back as opposed to two. I failed to notice this at first glance when I ordered it. I did like that this vest has orange and yellow striping, but in low light it does not show up as well (see photos).Lastly, be prepared to overpay for shipping. At the time of this review I was charged $6.31 to mail an 8 ounce letter!
