Soft, quiet, durable, great traction. Just best
I use these on west trail with lot leaves. They are best I have ever tried and I have tried a lot. Just using just tip you pick up leave, get stuck on roots and get ground suction. These take care all these issue. If nordic walk on trails these way to go. They provide great traction when pushing back with poles. I will definitely get them again. Work great on wet roads when stand feet slip. Update 4 month use. I have found even on dry pavement they at least durable as most shoes. I think this because of soft and do not slide. They make walking much quieter, plus they slightly cushion impact which make walking more pleasant. The extra traction means slipping is eliminated if your style is push off or slight back angle. I walk about 1200 miles per year with poles and have tried about 1/2 dozen different styles. These the absolute best. Poles have different tips. If they slight loss one or two wraps with electrical tape eliminate problem. The tips are best. 9 month update. I had first tip fail. 5 still ok. I think still have couple months left on one pole set. I use 3 different lengths. I find they last walking on pavement about 350 to 400 miles, but i push back very hard, plus put down pressure between 15/20 lb. my goal is workout, not pleasant stroll. They are best, l am going order three more sets, so have them waiting.

Costly, but durable and secure on the trail
I purchased these to replace a set of hiking tips where one tip fell off and the other tip was punctured by the carbide tip on my trekking poles. I purchased samples of each type of replacement tip I could find on the Internet and experimented with each tip on a variety of rock, dirt, and packed trails to prepare for several days of hiking on trails in Montana.I found these tips to be more stable than other tip I used. I loved how the ribs come up each side which gave added traction for both uphill and downhill trails. They were a little slick on wet trails, but I have had the same problem with all tips I have used. While I also like using rubber feet, I like how I don't have to worry about twisting the feet on these tips to make sure they aren't sideways.I highly doubt I will hit the 500 mile advertised rate, but even 100 miles will be double the life of any other tips I tested. They stay on well - although it may still be wise to tape them on since they are so expensive. Note: I use carbon fiber poles from Foxelli.

Great product!
I love these tips! I was looking for a replacement for my walking stick tip, which had worn down. These tips are so much better than what I had before. Due to the design, you can really rock the walking stick forward and back as you walk, and it rolls with your stride. But the best thing for me is that they do not slip on wet surfaces! I tried another tip that was non-skid, but it was flat and really made for canes, and I had to plant the stick straight which made my hand hurt. These tips work really well on wet surfaces, which is important for me, since I go to an indoor pool twice a week, and I use the walking stick for stability. And I really did not want to have to change tips for different occasions. These tips work well on all surfaces. I've been using it for several weeks now, and other than the little nib of the central rubber nodule, they haven't shown any wear at all. They are a little big for my walking stick, but fit quite snuggly after I put a rubber band on the stick. They come 2 to a package, so it's nice to know that I have a backup if this one does wear out at some point. I highly recommend these!

Time will tell
Use these for the first time today . Did a 5.56 hike through some hills and technical terrain. They held up really well and did great going over areas with boulder size rocks on the trail. Thick, gravel like dirt they slipped a bit more than I’d like but over all feel like they were a good purchase .

Good general-purpose tips, great for descents.
I bought these tips for my Foxelli carbon fiber trekking poles in the hopes of finding something better than the standard rounded rubber tips that come with all trekking poles. The Foxellis came with treaded "boot" tips included, which I dislike. Those boot-shaped tips are heavy, and the point of contact with the ground is displaced from the pole axis, so it feels like the pole is under unneeded stress.I ditched those and ordered these PaceMaker tips. They fit great and and have not fallen off or loosened. They're on good and tight. Overall, they are good all-surface tips--springy on hard ground to soften the impact, and they dig effectively into softer dirt and mud. The grip feels secure on every level surface, including when I have to vault over a stream.Their standout quality is how well they handle descents. Steep or rocky downhills can be tricky because few tip designs make adequate contact with the hiking surface, and most will slide out when trails are leaf-covered. I'm writing this in late winter and have been contending with leaves since November. These PaceMaker tips are far superior to any other tips I've tried in this respect. They grip the surface reliably. If there's a "weakness" I'd say it's on ascents. They're passable going uphill, but I'm not sure the design sets the ideal contact angle. I feel like flat-bottom tips have a marginal edge here. Not really a big deal. They get the job done and are superior in all other respects.I've probably put 30-35 miles on them, so I can't speak to their durability yet, though I've hiked on a lot of rocky surfaces and don't see any signs of wear. The vulcanized rubber, to the touch, feels sturdier than the plastic-like rubber of the standard-issue tips.I would and will definitely buy these again when the time comes.Update: November 22, 2020. I've put about 350 miles on these tips since I reviewed them (over 90% of which was mountain terrain). The nubs have worn down a little bit, but they're still quite grippy and fully intact. Great value for the price.
