My son is able to read the instructions and complete activities easily. They are similar exercises I saw him doing in Grade 1 homework, so its a great refresher for him during the summer break. There is math, basic clock/ time telling, spelling, reading comprehension and also activities like look and find, matching and find the difference.

Great activity workbook for kids. Great for bridge from 1st to 2nd grade in the summer!

We are 1 week into summer. My son loves this workbook! The variety is fantastic and it’s kept his attention! It’s a great review of what he learned in 1st grade (CA public school).

I bought this as an alternative to hiring a tutor. This is not just math and reading. However there are also fun art and science projects as well. just a few pages a day and you will keep you child's education ready for the next school year.

I have purchased quite a few workbooks for my kids and the Highlights ones are by far, the best! They mix various skills within one chapter - so you’ll get a little bit of phonics, literacy and math in each chapter. There is a map at the end where kids place a sticker for each completed chapter, which they like. There is also a fun craft activity at the end of each chapter and a fun search and find picture mixed in each chapter to mix it up and keep them entertained. Definitely a must buy!
