Great for kids!
I bought this for my 6 year old who loves lamps. It was a huge hit. The trunk lamp is bright and has three colour/warmth options from cold blue-white light to a warmer yellower light. The trunk itself is not flexible, so the light positioning is from the trunk tip - which moves like a shower head. So for a small persons desk or doing crafts on a table it's great. For a bigger space or 'over the shoulder' light it would need putting on top of something to give it more height. The second function is a softer light under the belly - a night light effectively. So for bedside or in the bedroom it's great - getting place during the day as a desk lamp, but if the child loves it (mine does) - it can also be a part of bedtime too. Great product. Seems well made and the lights are clear and steady. Switches are the eyes. If I have any reservations is only that it feels slightly strange to poke your friendly elephant in the eye to switch them on or off! On the other hand a separate switch could make them feel less like an animal toy and more lamp-like. So go figure! Would buy again / consider as a gift for other kids if budget allowed.
