Black Alien Apple Head Vinyl Decal

I bought this sticker to my new rMBP and was trully surprised by the quality of the sticker. I have had many of those stickers before, but this specific one was very easy to apply. It does the job well: Looks good, and the black head blocks the apple light completely where covered. I would definitely recommend this product, especially because it reminds me of the XCOM sectoids and have heads turn and smiles open wherever you go with it.On little tip is to not press the head of the alien too much where it junctions with the apple logo, becase there is a bump that can be visible if getting close.

I love this simple little sticker. I'm not sure what I would have done if I didn't get it on right the first time but I did and it looks great. It looks awesome with the backlight on the eyes and the small dot on the head

You can choose: have a small section of the logo visible above the head on the right side, have a sliver of aluminum showing on the bottom of the right eye, or rotate the decal about 15 degrees off of straight. I ended up splitting the difference, and stretched the top a little, and the eyes are uneven because of the the small part of the aluminum showing on the right eye.The instructions also show a transfer film that wasn't on the decal I received. This made it VERY difficult to get the vinyl decal transfered without tearing. And in fact it did tear while transferring it to the laptop, at the weakest point: where the head meets the body. Overall, pretty disappointed with the claim that it fits the macbook retina, it doesn't. Also it shouldn't have been sent without the transfer film. I've done a bit of vinyl on cars, so I was able to make it work, but just barely, and with the tear it probably won't last.

I placed this on my Macbook Air 11". As other reviewers have indicated, it IS a bit annoying to align the thing. I too agree that it is virtually impossible to completely cover the apple logo and not have any metal showing through the eyes, especially on the right. In addition, the indention of the apple can be seen through the head of the alien. It's not as noticeable from several feet a way, but it can be seen closer up. See my pics.WAYS TO IMPROVE IT: Make the alien slightly larger so as to cover the logo more easily. In addition, a clear application "window" would help. I found the only way to apply it on target was to remove the alien from the strip and lift/place, lift/place, lift/place until I got it close to right.I still gave it 4 stars because it's pretty cool and very cost effective. If I don't like it after a while, I'm only out a few bucks.Overall, if you have a lot of patience and don't mind minor imperfections, it's its a cool, comment-worthy addition to your apple computer.

I am a linux user who bought a macbook pro simply because of the superior build quality, given that I use it 95% of the time to run linux and I dont really want I giant apple logo on my laptop I purchased this decal. This was the first such decal I have put on a laptop, it was very simple to apply and is of high quality. I have had it on for a few months now and there has been no peeling or other issues with the decal. On my 15in macbook pro it fits pretty much exactly as you see in the image which is to say it covers the apple completely while only letting out light from the eyes. An alien was not my first choice but if you are looking for something to put on the cover that would show no signs of the apple logo this is a perfect fit.

I just received this in the mail today, and i love it! It's so awesome it looks cool and is perfect for my inner nerd! It was really easy to put on my computer. I love that it came with instructions and a nice little note about the product. I plan on ordering from this company many more times in the future!
