Yes, these clips are not the highest quality, but they do work for most uses.Regarding complaints about having to solder a wire to the clip. Yes, it lacks a pin to plugin a female .1 sq jumper wire typically found on the more expensive clips. But just use a jumper wire with a male .1 sq connector instead.These clips are designed to be used with male .1 sq connector jumper wires. The brass rivet is there to wipe and contact the pin on the wire connector. See pictures.

These are OK-ish. They do work but you do need to solder a length of wire to the plunger. I would suggest looking around a bit more for clips which include a wire on the plunger.

These clips are small enough to grab gull-wing IC leads securely without shorting to adjacent leads. Good balance of tension to hold well while being easy to attach and remove.

Product is not what is shown in the pictures. You have to solder your own pin or wire to the test clip. For the style of these you get there are better quality and better prices.

Since the clips are shipped without any leads you will have to (1) find appropriate leads and (2) solder them.

Edit: Even as a hobbyist of reasonable skill, I can't solder on pin headers in a reliable way. These are going in the garbage.I should have read the other reviews.As others have noted, the items are not as pictured- they lack the small pin for connecting jumpers, meaning you have to solder each one individually, which I have not yet tried. If I had known this, I would not have ordered this product.Otherwise, the quality seems fine.

I'm disappointed in myself for not paying closer attention to all the other reviews. These are _STILL_ not as pictured. There is no male pin to use with a female jumper wire and shown in the pictures. If I had known, I would've bought something else.
