What you feed your chickens during their first 4 months will set the stage for the rest of their lives. Almost ALL chicken feed is mostly corn, corn, and more corn. Corn is NOT the most nutritious way for a chicken to get its nutrients. Corn is just the cheapest way to get almost what a chicken needs. This brand is no corn, no soy, non gmo, and uses Wheat, Oats, Peas, Fishmeal, Pumpkin Seed, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Yeast, Kelp to fulfill nutrient requirements. This is the first time I have used this brand. I've been feeding this to these 4 chicks since they were 2 days old. Now-they are 11 weeks old. I can tell you, the chicks are at target weight for their breed, fully feathered, active, alert and basically HEALTHY. I do supplement their feeding with scratch, fresh fruits & vegs - and meal worms to be sure they are getting the best I can give. I will be able to see if there is a visible benefit to using this brand by the time my girls start laying.

We buy a lot of chicken food, starters, grower and layer feed, on top of the scratch, and oyster shells! I really like that SPS offers no corn and no soy in their feed and I feel their feed (all ) is very high quality(MADE IN THE USA) that is another important detail for me. On top of their feed being awesome, their customer service is impeccable! They have a team of great players willing to take care of any problems that I may have OR answering a question right away(they have live chat on their website) I am so happy to have found a company that really does go above and beyond for the consumers and our fur babies!

GREAT layer feed; my chicks LOVE it! The very few times it has found its way to the ground and wasn't eaten IT SPROUTS! Win win!! Confrims that's it IS just as fresh as it looks! Also I have purchased the wrong item before and they were so easy to work with!It doesn't meet my feed budget to purchase this feed constantly but I buy it every now and then for good boost for my ladies! I can always see a visual and behavioral improvement 😁Only thing I miss is that it used to come in a nice resealable mylar bag and now it comes in a 'cut-open' standard (but thick and sturdy) white plastic bag; just not as convenient but no biggy!

Smaller size pellets but would not be suitable for young chicks. Thankfully mine are 8 weeks old and can eat this. My ladies seem like this food.The bag came unsealed in the box so the food was all over inside the box when I received it. It looked as though it had never been sealed properly.All in all The product was good the packaging was poor.

It looks real grains and my chicks, plus my dog (he always inspect everyone's food) really like it. It really worth to spend money and get good stuff if you trying to have healthiest chicks and best eggs.

The first time I received the order the box was badly damaged so the bag had a hole in it as well. Seemed like the box was too big so the product was just banging around in the box but they sent me a new bag super fast and in a better sized box so got here in one piece the second time and my chickens seem to like it. I like that is corn and soy free so I’m glad the girls like it too.

This is the second organic chicken feed I have tried. I like it much better! The first one I tried was nice but a large portion of the bag was ground up powder which my chickens did not eat so I felt like a lot was going to waste. This stuff is in pellet form and when I dumped the whole bag into my big feeder, there wasn't a bunch of powder so I am happy! I love that this stuff is Non-GMO and has no corn. I want my chicks to have the best because I want them to be happy and produce great eggs! I will definitely order this again.

Small pellets flow freely through my small automatic feeder. Very little dust. The high humidity here in Florida doesn't cause clumping problems. My birds now consume their complete ration of nutrients since they cannot leave behind their less-desired grains.
