A comfortable, modern-look armchair. Good support, cushy without being soft. The construction is sort of lightweight, but the price is reasonable to match. The microfiber covering is one of the materials my cats don't scratch, and cleans up easily.It's sized just right for an average-sized adult. If you're particular heavy, or tall, you may find this chair too small. But for me at 5'11" and near 200lbs, it's a perfect fit. It also turns out the back of the chair is a perfect space for a cat to hang out with you (pictured).The feet need to be attached, so "some assembly required"-- they're found tucked under the seat cushion. It's a little clumsy screwing them in, since there aren't pre-drilled holes, but it's a one-time effort and not difficult. But a long screwdriver or electric driver will make it easier.Only quibbles: For some reason my chair arrived a little gritty under the packaging, and required a thorough lint-rolling after unpacking (no damage, just dirt). The pricing and availability here also varies more than I'd expect for furniture, and colors are often out of stock.For a casual, comfortable chair a step above Swedish style furniture, without getting into the cumbersome traditional pieces popular with Boomers, this Darcy Contemporary line does the trick. I'm hoping it holds up in use. If it doesn't, I'll update my review. But for now, Highly Recommended.

This chair is oversized and comfortable. The deep gray is perfect for my decor and easy to wipe clean with a quick spray of Windex and a white cloth. However, the plastic feet supplied by the manufacturer are extremely difficult to affix. There are no pilot holes on the chair base, and due to the design of those feet, an extension for a drill bit or screwdriver head of approximately 3” is needed to reach through the legs to the chair (see photos). As a consequence a very attractive and comfortable chair is rendered frustrating and unusable. I had to spend an additional $40. to buy a suitable and sturdy set of wooden feet. Disappointing.

Overall, the Signature Design by Ashley Darcy Casual Plush Chair is a fantastic piece of furniture. It offers a great balance of style, comfort, and quality at a reasonable price. If you’re looking for a comfortable and stylish chair to enhance your living space, I highly recommend this one.

Love the color and comfort but fabric tore day one both the chair and matching sofa very upsetting

I swear this chair has magic properties or something. I've sat in comfortable chairs before. But the second I sink into this, it's like all tension is sucked from my body and I feel relaxed. Maybe it's because I only use it when I'm done for the night. Work is over, household chores are over, it's usually time to start up the PS4 or Switch and unwind. But even if I sit in my very comfortable computer chair at this time of de-stressing, it doesn't have the same affect. And it's not just me. My dog loves it, had to get a seat cover because the fabric is not forgiving for pet owners. My cats love it. Honestly, it's just really comfortable. It's hard not to fall asleep in it sometimes.

I really like this chair. I do wish it was a bit more comfortable but maybe it's better that the cushion was stiff making it more durable? I also bought the matching ottoman. About a year or so ago I purchased the L shaped matching couch. Very pleased. Unfortunately it is a different color. Ashley Furniture has discontinued manufacturing the Darcy product line. You have to get whatever is left. Im disappointed. I don't like the replacement style 😕 You will have a difficult time trying to get matching pieces with the exception of blue and black. They also made a regular sofa and a loveseat along with the chair and ottoman. Amazon was cheaper when you consider shipping cost. If you are fortunate enough to live in the area of a furniture store that carries the product you want, if not could cost a fortune to ship. I hope Ashley at some point brings this style back. I think that there was something like 12 or 14 different colors. I really liked the Maroon or Red. But the couch i have is cobblestone and the chair and ottoman are gray. Doesn't match but what can you do. Oh well.

This chair is my "go to" chair in my living room and is the perfect fit for my 5 ft body heigth. Feels like it just hugs you with its cushy back and armrests. The fabric is really nice and soft. The only negative thing about it is with the armrests being so high and with my short frame makes it awkward to pick up or sit a cup of coffee down on my end stand. But, i still love my new comfy chair!
