First off, this was my first diamond painting and I really enjoyed it! Some say that the circles are better to start with but I had no problems doing this square one. I tried to do a checkerboard pattern in the areas of 1 color so that there was some uniformity to it and that is probably the only tip I can pass along since I am still so new. Another reviewer mentioned finding some of a different color in his and I did as well. This was not a big deal and almost to be expected when you take into acct that 1000's of these probably pass over the same machine. Just pick it out and move on. I cut my film into slits so that I could peel it down as I worked and that too seemed to work out well. You might come across some that have a little burr on the edge, just toss it or set it aside as you will have plenty to work with and the burr will not allow another to butt up against it. All in all, a great experience for a first-timer!

Looks great however really disappointed with the fact there is no dmc numbers on the kit. If I could get a copy of those I'd greatly appreciate it.

I was about 80 black square diamonds short. If I had dropped a few I would only be short a small amount but this large amount is obviously a manufacturing error.Unfortunately, since this is the only square diamond painting I have done I don't have any that will work from other sets. Also, the square sizes vary greatly. Some colors do not fill the squares while others do. I like the picture though.

The drills are squared. The look is great but they take longer to place than found drills.

The canvas is very easy to read with nice adhesion and overall quality. The manufacturer chose to leave out letters and used different color combos so it is very easy to discern the letters with or without using a light table.The only reasons this gets knocked down a star is that the canvas dimensions are for the canvas and not the image so the actual image is much smaller than expected (not sure if I managed to miss this in the description), and the square drills vary in size greatly. The drill size ends up leaving gaps among certain colors where some are quite wide while other colors are not too bad. It also makes the placement of multiple drills a bit more difficult - some colors were so small that even placing doubles caused gapping and made necessary to adjust every drill.This was a great picture for a beginner so even though the drills are not great quality, it has been a relaxing project. I am tempted to do it again and buy better drills.Submitting this review again as it did not show up on the Amazon ad even after many weeks.

This was one of my favorites to work on. The colors are beautiful and it was a lot of fun. The finished product looks great!

I'm not attaching a photo because lots of other customers have, and from those it is plain to see that this diamond painting looks pretty good when done. Really vibrant, quite similar to the image. Getting done was a bit of a challenge at times, though, in all honesty -- the drills were just okay; they were all different sizes/thickness and a fair amount of trash in them, and the wax really dulled some of the colors. I got low on some colors but did have enough of everything to finish, though I question how it would've gone if I'd been a lot more picky about the drills instead of excited about the picture I was making and motivated to get done and see it. My darker colors in particular seemed to really suffer. I may go back some day and get a little OCD on some areas, but that's my nit picky tendencies and then again I may not because I didn't even save most of the drills due to their lacking dmc codes and wonky shapes.Summary: I really enjoy this hobby, I liked this image, and I'm leaning "eh" on the drill quality and whether I'll order from this company again.

I don’t like doing square drill kits. I had already bought a couple of square drill kits but not got around to trying to do either of them. However, I’ve had my eye on this little baby dragon kit for ages now and I kept hoping that MXJSUA would eventually bring it out in round drills. As it seemed this was not going to happen I sent for this kit. At first I was delighted with it as it was fascinating having to get the square drills inside the boxes on the canvas and I felt I had found a new hobby inside a hobby. However, when you work your way down the picture you come across an area of darkness where there are no squares to guide you with the placement of the drills and it was at this point I felt I could no longer go on with the picture so although this kit is good value for the money if you enjoy and understand how to work square drill kits, I feel I have wasted my money and I won’t be buying any more square drill kits. Under these circumstances I don’t feel that I can recommend this kit and I am hoping eventually this gorgeous baby dragon kit will be brought out in round drills. I am still awarding five stars to this kit in case the fault is mine in not knowing how to deal with dark areas but I don’t see any easy or comfortable way of knowing how to place the drills where there are no boxes to guide one.

I chose this baby rainbow dragon design primarily to do for my dragon-mad daughter but I love him so much myself I think I’m going to frame and hang him in the living room! We’ve even named him - Disco Dave.This kit was a joy to work through mainly as it’s so colourful, it was never boring (no huge sections of the same colour)! The design translates well to the size of canvas so the finished result is brilliant. I’ve added a photo of my finished work although I don’t think it does Disco Dave justice as it hasn’t picked up quite how sparkly (‘Disco’ ) Dave when catching the light.I’ve subtracted a star as unfortunately my kit was short of two colours of diamond drills - the black 1 by about 15 and the cream K (or number 16) for about 45.Instead of contacting the manufacturer for more I purchased a whole set of spare diamond drills sold by Artdot via Amazon (next day delivery so very convenient). But of a pain (and extra money) but I think it’s probably useful to have some spare diamond drills in your diamond painting kit anyway - although this was my first kit I’ve found to be lacking in some diamond drill numbers, I doubt it will be my last. I think Disco Dave was worth it!

The is a definite change in size of drills with different colours. Quite a few even seem to be slightly too small for the square grid's boxes so:-a) you are left with gaps between drills.b) it is difficult to get nice straight lines.c) you are forever trying to get "best fit" and adjusting drills as you fill in area next to another.d) you hardly ever get any satisfying "click" you normally would expect when putting square drills into position.Even within a pack of an individual drill colour, there are cases where some are higher than others from the same pack.Also:- The canvas arrived folded up an hence very creased, (please see photo). We have spent a long time trying the usual "tricks" to flatten a creased canvus, but, this time it has proved impossible to get all the creases\ridges out\flat.It is a nice picture - just a big shame that it is let down by the products poor quality.

Came really quickly and looks great quality. All the diamonds are included and the canvas flattened out really easily. The colours are much more vibrant in person and really sparkly.The only criticism I have is that some of the diamonds are slightly different shapes but they are the same colour so it doesn’t bother me too much and is impossible to notice unless you are looking at it really closely.

This is my second project and the quality of this was far superior to my first kit. The Crystal's are beautifully formed and square so the finished result is beautiful. The colour changes and detail are stunning. It's about an A3 size so it's a large piece and took me 10 evenings to complete so allow plenty of time for this one. I bought a light pad to place underneath on my easel as I mostly craft at night and would recommend this too. If you enjoy diamond art then you won't be disappointed with this purchase!
