Seriously. An absolute steal.
TLDR:Buy this brush immediately.THE PART YOU DO WANT TO READ:After many years being a consumer of all the best products in the wet sagging world and a few years of sporting a beard, I went back to shaving. After spending hundreds— maybe thousands— of dollars on gear when I was originally shaving, it was all lost in a move.Fast forward to now and I needed a brush. I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep shaving, so I got this one. Honestly, the only expectation I had for this brush was to be let down (I even had a very popular short, fat brush in my cart ready to go). FWIW, I waited over a month before reviewing this and you’ll be hard pressed to find reviews by me.THE REVIEW:Buy it. Seriously. I’ve gone through all of the big names in brushes (even had an Mühle prototype brush that was never released) and this lil $10 brush is THE JAM.Very few hairs lost. That new brush stench wasn’t bad at all. Bristles weren’t too stiff out of the box. The brush holds the literal perfect amount of water and picks up the right soap. It’s soap enough for a face lather, yet stiff enough for a puck and bowl. Also, I have extremely sensitive (I’m talking more sensitive than the high school freshman living under my roof) skin and have yet to Even had any redness or that irritating itch/burn associated with chlamydia, I mean razor burn.There’s no logical reason this brush is only $10 and if you actually want a good shave for the value rather than trying to impress people with your ridiculously expensive “SOTD” photos on unnamed forums.

Great badger hair brush - really helps lift the hair
My dermatologist recommended I stop using the 5 blade razors - as they cut too close and hair can get trapped underneath the skin and get infected. So I moved over to the old school, single blade safety razor system, and the badger hair brush really helps prepare the skin and lift up the hair prior to shaving.It's well made, has the perfect stiffness, and is a great brush for daily shaving. It's much better than a nylon brush - I found that they were a bit too harsh.

Sheds quite a bit
I originally purchased this brush about a year ago. At first, it was great. No shedding like the one I was replacing. After about a month, this one started losing hairs. Enough that it clogged up my sink with badger hair. After 6 months I could no longer use it. I've been using normal shaving cream from a can. This brush shed so badly that I had to spend a great deal of time picking the hairs off my face before I shaved, or clogging up my sink again. The brush is soft, works up a good lather, and doesn't smell, like some of the reviews have said. My only issue is that it sheds like crazy!

A++ Badger Shave Brush
I have been wet shaving for several years and have tested many badger brushes over the last decade. I tend to look for a few things when using them. 1. The quality of the handle. 2. The quality of the bristles. 3. The quality in assembly.1. Quality of the handle: This badger brush handle seems to be made of high quality materials. The paint is thick (in a good way) and consistent. It has a nice shape in the hand and is easy to grip, even if your hands are wet. Good stuff.2. Quality of the bristles: The thing that I like about this badger brush is that the bristles are nicely shaped and have a good thickness to them. They are immediately soft out of the box (well, tube really) and don't smell nearly as bad as many other brushes I've used. **Disclaimer - if you've never used a badger brush before, they tend to smell like a weird funk. I like to wash them with warm water and peppermint soap in order to help curb that. It will eventually fade.** That being said, I think the smell went away after the first or second use, so great job there.3. Quality of the assembly: This goes along with the other two parts of the equation, but this brush is assembled very well. It has a nice steel ring where the bristles meet the handle and in a month and a half, I've hardly had any bristles fall out. I would say that it is completely normal for bristles to fall out after use, since they are glued to the handle and over time the stress of use can cause them to break off. This brush seem very well suited for long term use and the bristles are well secured.Actual use: I've tested this with their shaving cream, as well as a bar of shaving soap. It functions as it should and creates a great lather quickly. Pro tip, when you are working on your second or third pass, be sure to squeeze the bristles from the base of the handle and pull through your hand. This will ensure you get the best shaving cream from the center of the brush.Overall, I'd give this one a 10 out of 10. I've enjoyed using the brush in combination with the stainless steel bowl and their sandalwood shaving cream.

Works
Cheap and effective. I use a leave 3 blade shaver and this allows me to spread the shaving cream.

Never stops shedding
Quickly sheds hairs, never really stops. Certainly better than shaving without a brush, but there are definitely nicer brushes.

Great quality
Bought it as a gift for my husband and he loves it, I just wish it had a natural wood handle so it matched his razor and holder.
