NapcoRP1054E Backlit Digital Display Keypad

Perfect!!! Very easy to install. Works great.

Replaced two 30 yo Napco RP1054D, one of which malfunctioned with a random panic alarm while in an unarmed state. Simply swapped 4 color coded wires from the old unit. Followed a YouTube video. This unit was 100% compatible without any reprogramming, including my security code. Installed them myself. I suggest using Low Voltage Telephone Wire Connectors B Type which saves time, effort, and were used in the original installation. I bought a bag on Amazon. My only mistake was I blew a 1A fuse in the panel box. Luckily I had a spare, unused for 30 years. I picked some more on eBay which are tough to find. In the 1008 panel, pull the other 1A fuse to silence the siren, which will blast after resuming A/C current. Also the keypad default appears to chime whenever the doors are opened, even before arming the alarm. I read the manual and the '5' code silences the chime.

I bought two of these control keypads to replace those from my original 34 year old Napco security system, and they are serving as excellent replacements for them. I would highly recommend this Napco product.

I returned this because I found one I liked better and was more functional.

For me it was 4 wires really easy I was told “ donot short wires together”, I was very careful very easy new keypad was really nice worth it!

I had to return it because it was not compatible with my system. It is an excellent product, bound to last 25+ years of daily use, and the company is flawless. The return was painless as well.

This unit was purchased for older magnum 854 system...works well

The old keypad died after 25 years due to being the primary keypad at the main entrance and exit to the house. The hardest part of the replacement was figuring out how to release the keypad from the mounting plate (see YouTube). Otherwise, replacement was a breeze (cut and splice the wires) and we are good for another 25 years.
