Great game for those that love the board game
If you enjoy playing the Scotland Yard board game, then you will love this game for the DS. It allows you to play Scotland Yard by yourself. You can play as Mr. X or the detectives. There are various cities to play in, and when playing campaign mode they add in extra things to make the game more difficult as you progress through the cities. They have roadblocks and helicopter rides that they can use in some cities which gives the game a fresh perspective. In the quick play you don't need to use any of the new items, in fact it defaults to the classic play of the London board. You can play multiplayer and only one person needs the game. Overall this game is very addictive. If you have never played the board game and buy this expecting a video game experience you will be disappointed. This is a board game on the DS. You can't beat it for the price.

This game is great--just like the board game
If you love the Scotland Yard board game, then this electronic version is for you. The DS game is just like the board game, but better. Yes, it is simple in it's design compared to all of the fancy, high-tech games, but soooo what! You can choose to be either the detectives or Mr. X. There are also several city choices, rather than being isolated to London. The New York version gives the detectives the opportunity to use helicopters, which make the game more interesting. Like all classic games, you have to use your brain to win, rather than just hide behind a bunch of fancy graphics. I love this game!!!!!!

Worst game I've ever played.
I was really looking forward to this game. What a big disappointment! It is dumb, silly and NO fun at all. You have these tickets, there's a map with dots on it and you use your tickets to go from one dot to another dot trying to get away from detectives. It was soooo boring, I sold it the next day. You don't want this game. UCK!
