Great for fixing on/off porting of the valve
I take them apart and replace existing one without removing the basic valve. Worked every time

Have the correct parts
Didn't feel comfortable installing replacement valve ... hired a plumber. He didn't have the correct part & wanted to install a compression fit which can be a risk (flood damage is not covered under homeowners game). I ordered the part so that the plumber could install exactly what I was most comfortable with, an exact replacment

Worked fine
We bought this just so we could take out the plunger piece and replace it on our existing valve. This was a pretty easy repair and it seems to be holding up fine.
