Glad I splashed out. The metal cage is actually identical to a cheaper version I’d also bought here on Amazon recently, but the nose bar on that cheaper one was way too wide/deep, pushing into my pooche’s eyes when the head strap (which also had too few holes) was affixed. THIS ONE, is perfect. Literally twice the price unfortunately but a thinner nose rest so sits less bulky on his head. Good space around a 1-yr Great Dane’s chops too - he can drink easily and also take treats.

Well made, roomy muzzle, the straps and metal do not cause the dog discomfort, and allow him to eat snacks.Even though it is Great Dane-shaped, it works well for Presa Canario mastiffs.

Although it may difficult to stick your fingers through the bars, positively introducing your dog to the muzzle is important for allowing them to become accustomed to it! Take your dog with walks with the muzzle on to also create a positive association with it.I like this muzzle because it allows for pant room for my 140lb Armenian gampr. A dog cannot eat foreign objects with this muzzle on, bite, or lick/chew themselves so there are multiple uses for this tool. A muzzle is not designed for punishment! It’s to keep a dog or people safe. It’s important that they can still regulate their temperature with a muzzle on otherwise a dog can overheat and that can be dangerous, if not deadly.The muzzle itself is very sturdy. I cannot bend it with a decent amount of pressure. The muzzle has a comfort strap for it to rest on the snout. It’s unique as I have never seen a muzzle with so much adjustability. There are straps that can be adjusted even on the sides of the muzzle. It’s also lightweight for its size, which will be more comfortable for your dog.The price on this muzzle is very fair given the size of it. I have looked for large muzzles of this size and the range was typically $60+ for a wire basket style.I’m a dog trainer and recommend this product! This is not a promotional review, I spent money out of my own pocket and this is my honest opinion.

While we won’t use it often we decided to have it on hand to support a safe introduction to bringing other pets into our home. Our Corso is a large boy who can be bossy. We tried several muzzles but they were better suited for long snouts and i didn’t like the hard plastic they were made from. I introduced this muzzle very calmly, told him it was his new hat and he looked handsome. It fit perfectly , nicely padded to prevent the metal cage from rubbing his face and it didnt impede his breathing . He had no problem wearing it although the cage did make him look a little scarey😂but it served the purpose and was only used intermittently for one day whenever he got too boisterous with the pup although i’m sure the vet will appreciate it too. Mr Bruno doesn’t appreciate getting his temperature taken 😂better to be safe than sorry.
