Very durable, fast USB flash drive with read & write lock on it
I bought one over 6 years ago and it is still going! It has the ability to be locked in a "read only" mode so you can't get a virus from a computer that has one even if you stick this USB drive in it and copy files off of the USB stick or run apps directly from it. Only issue is that this brand is very expensive, but has solid build quality that does last. They have not come down in price over the years, they have become even more expensive. Many other USB flash drives I have used are very cheaply made and tend to break after a year or two of use. This one has an aluminum shell, led activity light on the end of it, and a cap to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the end. A must have in a world full of viruses.

Best for USB car music
I used to upload lot of MP3 to standard USB flash drive and use it in the car. What ends up happening is in a week or two the MP3 music in the flash drive gets corrupted because when you turn off the car it doesn't unmount the USB drive safely instead it just shuts off the computer. Remember I don't touch the USB drive when I shut off my car it stays exactly where it is plugged in. Then I bought this USB flash drive uploaded all my music then flipped the read only lock, now I don't have to worry about my music getting corrupted. It's been 2 months and so far and all the musics are just fine. It was 7° f outside freezing cold still the USB flash drive worked just fine.

Protects your data
First, it works. When the write-protect switch is on, computers physically can't write to the stick. Your data can't be erased and your system can't be infected with malware. Write speeds are good when write is enabled. Two nits: 1. It can be hard to see what position the switch is in. An indicator light or a bigger switch would make that easier. 2. The hole for attachments is too small for a key ring. A little bigger hole would be handy.

Solid use for years! Purchased again as these are standard issue pocket fare for me
This is an eventual replacement for one I bought a long time ago, and still using very frequently. I had an odd error when using my old one recently, using a client’s Windows PC, that wasn’t properly detecting the change from write-protected to read/write allowed (even after safe eject, removal, and reinserted). It’s been working fine for several weeks since. However, based on its age and how often I depend on it, I went ahead and purchased a 2nd one. In case you’re comparing, I prefer this product line over the blue ones from Kangaru, as the blue ones don’t offer much more and potentially have slower write speeds. And I never use built-in encryption for devices like this.

Good for software storage.
Took mainly because of Write-protection switch, but the speed is also good.

Seems to work well and is reasonably fast. The switch on the side is not very robust, but it does work.

One of the best computer hardware I bought.

Its annoying when people don't understand what they are buying and give bad reviews on a device that is actually brilliant. This flash drive is literally the one of only a few on the market that actually support physical write-protection that windows CANNOT bypass. You might not believe me but most other flash devices, sd cards that have write-protection are not physical but actually software driven when they read that little side switch on the device. On the inferior devices, windows or a virus can bypass the lock on those drives - believe it or not. However this is not possible on the Kanguru - its impossible. This is the only device you can safely plug into another computer and not worry about an infection or loss of data. Its also the best device to create a multi-boot virus busting drive that will be safe to use again. For me it has been reliable and well built with no problems so far. Highly recommend!
