Great cat5 cable for the price
I have wired up my house, my in-laws, my parents and my brother-in-law's house with this wire. The cables are thick, easy to run, at the same time it's very flexible. I've never had any problems with their ability including the fact that I run a couple of these under the house in the crawl space. I don't see this being a problem in terms of durability. I have even ran some outside to power some Christmas controllers that run Christmas lights. I can tell that the sun did fade some of this but it's only out for a month at a time so I don't see that being a problem. It does give me over two and a half gigs at my house. I would highly recommend for the price.

Good quality. Reasonably priced, and it's worth the money.
I recently purchased the VIVO Gray 250ft Bulk Cat5e cable, and I'm very happy with my purchase. The cable is high quality, and it's perfect for my networking needs. The UTP pull box made it easy to run the cable, and the 24 AWG wire provides a reliable connection. I used this cable to connect my computer to my router, and I noticed a significant increase in my internet speed. I also used it to connect my gaming console, and I haven't experienced any lag or dropped connections. I highly recommend this cable to anyone looking for a high-quality Ethernet cable. Here are some specific things I like about this product:* Quality: The cable is made of high-quality materials, and it's very well-made.* Ease of use: The UTP pull box makes it easy to run the cable.* Performance: The cable provides an excellent connection, and I've noticed a significant increase in my internet speed.* Price: The cable is reasonably priced, and it's worth the money.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase of the VIVO Gray 250ft Bulk Cat5e cable. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality Ethernet cable.

Not bad for the price. Gets the job done!
I used this to run a few lines from my garage where my router and switch is into my man cave(basement room). I ran it through a drop ceiling and down and had no issues. Yes the way it comes out of the box is not the best but you can easily cut the plastic piece off. The plastic coating around the wire is not that great it’s not very protective and easily bendable but for my use it’s perfect. I just wanted to wire a few things up and didn’t want to pay a lot for cable. I also plan on adding poe cameras to my house soon with this wire. You should have no issues using this wire it has served me well. Would I use it on a small business or outside? Probably not but for just adding some jacks or wiring up other devices around your house this will save money and get the job done!

Very good once you add in the price factor
Only real complaint is not about the wire but the reel box it comes in. When I received mine, the piece that holds the plastic tube through the hole in the box was broken, allowing the tube through which the wire feeds to slip inside and fall down, making pulling a hassle. I have to be very careful, as the wire keeps kinking; not to the point where I would consider not using that section, but enough that it really slows things down. A major annoyance, that is for sure.**EDIT 1/28/13***I pulled 6x 50' lengths for patch panel runs, 6x 6' runs for patch cords, and a few miscellaneous patch cords (setting up a Cisco lab in my office). Used a Fluke to test all runs, an they all came back fine - no kinks sharp enough to break connectivity.I also wanted to throw Vivo, the seller, a thank you. I had no plans on contacting them about the issue, but they responded quickly to my review. They let me know that they're looking at a redesign of the feed chute to make sure this doesn't happen. Even though I insisted I was not looking for a refund or reimbursement for a $0.05 piece of plastic, they credited a portion of my purchase for me.Overall, I am more than satisfied with the product itself, but more impressed and thrilled with the customer service. When I build my house in the future, I will definitely purchase cabling from this seller again.

CAT5e Must Be Pure Copper!
The description of this product is misleading and potentially false advertising. You cannot call a cable that is not pure copper a CAT5e cable. PERIOD. Bought 3 of these thinking wow good price, good price indeed if this was a genuine product. Returning 2 unused boxes of cable. Forced to keep the 3rd box which I did make a 50 foot cables out of.The Dangers of Using CCA CablesThe performance and safety of CCA cables are radically different. In fact, aluminum network cables violate TIA and IEC standards for Cat5e and Cat6 cables.Aluminum patch cables, often marked as CCA or CCE (for Copper Clad Ethernet), has higher attenuation than pure copper cables. This results in a greater loss of data, as packets have to be re-transmitted. The more data that is re-transmitted, the slower your network performs. Plus, these problems are compounded by every foot of cable you use; the longer the cable, the worse the performance. Is the hit in network performance worth saving a few cents?CCA cables also have a 55% higher DC resistance. This increases the amount of energy that is transferred into heat and reduces the amount of power that can be transferred. This issue makes them unusable for power over Ethernet (PoE).These cut corners also affect installers because aluminum wire creates installation issues. Due to the lower tensile strength, aluminum cables can be damaged when being pulled. Single conductors can break, making the cable useless, or the whole cable can snap. Aluminum also has a lower bend radius than pure copper cables. This means you can’t bend it as much before it fails. In short, copper clad cables are more fragile than pure copper cables.
