Poems for Amber Kindle Edition

I am quite familiar with Andrews writing and photography as he has been active on the LA scene for decades and I've collected some of his photography. In recent years he has concentrated on producing large, densely illustrated limited edition artist books of Riding South (his motorcycle trip from Hermosa Beach, CA to Lima, Peru), 99% Pacified and The Place Where I Will Die (The Sierras). I have two of his trade books, The Poet of Los Angeles and Coffin Lumber. It was a pleasure to find and read Poems for Amber, his earliest self published book in an edition of only 15, here in ebook form. He is an important American artist, vigorously intelligent and compassionate with a wry sense of humor. Andrews is direct and honest. I'm surprised he isn't more widely known. I am hoping that more of his work, particularly 99% Pacified, his extraordinary record of life and his experiences in Saigon in the late 60's as a computer programmer for the US Army and my favorite of his titles, will soon be available in ebook form. I suggest readers visit his website, mdaarts.com, to get an idea of the breadth of Andrew's work and encourage him to make more titles available as ebooks.
