Star Wars: The Ultimate Pop-Up Galaxy: the perfect gift for any Star Wars fan

I first saw this displayed at a well-known science fiction/fantasy store. I was a bit taken back by the price and decided to hold off the purchase. Yet... these massive Star Wars cardboard pop-up books are excellent. I still have a few meticulously kept vintage ones from my childhood. And bought my much-adored huge pop up Guide to the Galaxy about a decade ago, from the same author - which has been a favourite within my extensive galactic library. The point is that these modern pop-up books are truly state of the paper art and simply brilliant. It’s really nice to go through them with my children, their cousins/ friends or anyone with a remote Star Wars interest. It’s just full of surprises and overflowing with details. The accompanying texts to the scenes are not really revealing but as a book it reads nicely. It has essentially 5 major scenes, but each has little folds that reveal more characters and additional scenes. And other than the former Guide to the Galaxy book it it more interactive (though somewhat fragile features) with levers and hidden falls. But this pop-up book takes it a little further by combining all pages into a large 3D diorama. This book will not only look nice on your coffee table, it will probably need every inch - in fact, you’ll probably need 2 or 3 coffee tables to fold out the whole 3D diorama.The only issue is that the full unfolding comes with an instruction leaflet, which suggests it's not that straightforward. Moreover given the delicate nature of such books you do want assist young Star Wars enthusiasts when browsing through it. But if you manage to keep it tidy this impressive, hugely entertaining book will draw family and friends interest for decades to come.Buy this. Period.

Obviously a Star Wars fan here, however - if you love pop up books, this is fantastic.Well worth it .. might even display open, in a spare glass case!

I bought the Star Wars Ultimate pop up book for my Son for Christmas and he was thrilled , he said it was awesome and excellent and could not believe how big it was and the quality was excellent to. Regards Val Taylor

Lovely book that itself is a piece of art. Unfortunately some parts are not properly cut, others are not glued. Chinese manufacturer didn't do it's job good enough.World of Warcraft pop-up was much better in terms of quality.

This book is amazing. Not only do the main pages pop up but each page has another 4 smaller pop up pictures.You can then fold the whole book out into an amazing scene.
