Serves its intended purpose
One of the best bottle cages, but pricey. Plenty of grip to avoid losing bike bottles in the rear mount.

Great value if you dont want to drop bottles on rough
The product is firm and easy to mountain. East to pick the bottles and put the bottles back. The only critic I have is; I asked for pure black, came with white labels.

No more lost or thrown bottles!
I bought two of these cages to put on the back of my triathlon bike. Every other bottle cage I’ve had would eject my water bottles when I hit a bump at any significant speed. These cages hold my bottles tight, regardless of how full they are, and are easy to get the bottles into and out of. I got them in time for my most recent Ironman bike leg and couldn’t be happier with how well they work.At $75 a piece, it’s a steep price for bottle cages, but if you are a serious cyclist and don’t want to have to worry about your bottles bouncing out while you’re racing, descending, or just riding on a rough surface, it’s worth every penny.

No more launched Bottles on rear assembly!
I was using a Fi'zi:k tritone (bottle cage behind saddle) with other cage and was frustrated by constantly bottle getting launched from cage while training. This XLab cage was the solution, not a single bottle launch in more than a month of use, no matter if the bottle is full or empty.Cage keeps bottle very tight, so takes some time to get used to putting bottle back behind saddle while riding (w/o looking at the cage), but nothing a few twist's can't fix. When I say tight, i mean really tight. At first was thinking on getting the Gorilla XL (for that extra hold) but now I'm happy I didn't, because this one holds perfectly. Also discontinued the use of Polar Bottles as Xlab recommends not using them, so as suggested on other comments switched to Specialized Purist Bottle (insulated) and have to tell that this combination works flawless. In conclusion, I'm very happy with this cage, Thank you XLab!

No bottle drops
I use these cages on a rear saddle mount. Over the years, I've used multiple brands of bottle cates, and the biggest issue for all of them is bottle ejection, e.g., when you go over railroad tracks or on rough gravel. I've been using these for a full summer/fall season and haven't had a single ejection. Yes, they are a premium cost, but there's little more annoying (and potentially dangerous) than finding out that you lost a bottle without knowing it or having to turn around to find one because you sent over some railroad tracks at close to 30 mph... To me, the extra expense is well spent.

Super strong grip on the bottles
Rode in an Ironman race last weekend in St. George Utah and some of the roads were very rough, but my bottles stayed right in the cages. It was so hot out there that having a bottle fall off my bike between aid stations could have been devastating. This cage is critical gear for me that is why I run with 3 of them on my TT bike.
