Birds made a nest in my hvac/furnace air intake duct because there’s a gap there- whoever installed the wall termination was too lazy to use all the screws. Anyway, it’s 40ft high from the ground and it’s been difficult finding someone with a tall enough ladder to fix this (and expensive). I was able to cut and shape a few pieces fairly easily with tin snips, a wood block and pliers. Luckily, I have roof access and was able to use a 8 ft pole to drop these down to where I needed them. The metal used is sturdy and strong enough that I could tap them down into place without deforming. It also has enough weight that birds won’t be able to lift or push it aside. I’m extremely pleased with the quality of this product and how it solved my problem while saving me a ton of money!

After buying the wrong size vent cover (twice) to keep birds out of our vents, we opted to try this. The description said or implied it was easy to cut so we expected it to be plastic but it wasn’t. Thankfully we had tinsnips which helped to trim the screen down to the size we needed. It fit great!

It very strong material and worked well. What I didn't like is you couldn't order a single sheet and it's strong enough that I doubt I'll ever use the second one.

Some birds had decided that my dryer vent was a good place to make a nest. This put a stop to it real quick. The holes are big enough that they let a lot of air through, and I haven't seen a lot of lint collecting on it. The material is thick enough that it won't bend easily or deform, but thin enough to be cut with household scissors (as long as they're relatively strong, no kids scissors).Note it doesn't come with anything to fasten it to a wall or anything else, in my case it didn't matter because I was able to slide it into the pre-existing square for the duct after cutting it to size and it stuck, but that may not be the case in all applications. Nothing a few screws and washers can't fix though.

We needed this to bend over the outside driver bent. The old one was glued so much we could not remove the broken cover, so we used one of the two sheets provided and made a cage over the vent to keep mice and snakes from moving in. Easy enough (with strength) to bend into a proper shape. Sturdy, clean, and strong enough for what we needed. Quality product.

Bad principle. As this may work perfectly for keeping birds out of bath vents, it is terrible for the dryer vent. It plugs with lint and restricts airflow shortening the life of the dryer.
