At first I was really impressed with the sail, then realised it was two pieces joined together. Which I wasnt happy about. Then we had a shower and noticed the seam/join was leaking. The rest of the material was waterproof but obviously where the join had Been stitched it was leaking water. I contacted the Seller and was completely fobbed off with “try to angle your sail so the water runs off” well obviously we had erected it in this way, then was abruptly told have a nice day And that was that! So I replied trying to explain Again my issue with the seam leaking, and again was fobbed off With “yes, it will leak its on the seam, and the needle holes wont be water proof!!!” I thought this hilarious! So why have they designed them in two Separate pieces? And then again told have a nice day. The customer service is awful. Very polite but not at all helpful. Just quick reply with have a nice day. Not happy and wont use this seller again.

The product itself is beautiful and really well made. Having chosen the 5x5x7 meter option in grey it really looked the part, you do need a massive slant in the item though which makes it unfit for purpose. By the time I had a drop of almost 2 meters to stop the water collecting in the fabric I had reduced the coverage and the area below for shade and rain cover was no longer protected. I also now have brackets and fittings all over my house from re adjusting and moving the item. If you are looking for a temporary cover for a party on a dry day this is perfect, if you want a cover which is 10m in the air with a 40 degree slant then this is the product for you.

It’s a good shade but I can’t put it up I need a whole lot of fittings that I was not aware of I thought it was all in one pack ready to set up so am disappointed

We bought this for shade and to keep rain off to sit under. It is waterproof but no matter how much we tried to stretch this tight, when wet, the fabric seems to stretch and fill up with water. Definitely waterproof but not in the way we wanted haha

The Sun Shade Sail is great stops rain and sun , be careful to install it really tight so you need the mounting kit with the turnbuckle screws to get it anywhere near tight enough. Also make sure you install it at a really steep angle with one side a lot higher than the other, around 30 degrees slope, or else the rain collects in the middle. I had to change ours a couple of times.

I agree with the majority of the reviews - the sail is good quality but is sewn in 2 pieces which was not mentioned in the description - ideal for when the weather is dry but no matter how it is angled if it rains it pools in the middle, despite putting up a large brolly underneath to give some leverage. As this product was a lot dearer than others I think I would have got more value for money if I had bought a cheaper one with accessories.

Used for keeping the setting sun from the west side of the orangery and lovely to sit under for protection from to much sun.

Make sure you order the correct size !!Although the product is good, the customer service & return system is appalling!Originally ordered product which arrived, but it was too big, arranged a return & re-ordered a smaller one.Paid £15 to return, 4 weeks later get the parcel back with return denied.So no refund on our original purchase of £45 & £15 on postal return !
