Kaplan GRE Verbal (Kaplan Test Prep) Eighth Edition

I took the GRE on 11/3/15. Four months prior to the test I started studying with the GRE Verbal Workbook, GRE Math Workbook and GRE Premier 2016. From my diagnostics test to my final score, my performance increased significantly in both quant and verbal. The Premier book also offers online tests and practice sections in both quant and verbal, which prepares you for the computer test. These books are a good alternative to the pricey classes Kaplan has. The only issue I have is that this verbal workbook does not prepare you adequately for the writing section (but many schools don't put as much weight on that section of your score anyways).

I liked the tips and tricks used in this book. I find it a bit lacking in practice exercises. However, I like the section on vocabulary where it grouped like words of similar meanings. I found myself preferring the Manhattan GRE Prep books for the Essay section through.

I found the level of difficulty of the questions a little higher than those in the GRE Official Guide.I am not sure if this book certainly reflects the level of difficulty of the actual GRE test.

This is a useful book for studying for the GRE. I'm pleased with the content. Shipped on time. Was as expected.

This book includes some of the best strategies to learn the words....and one gets a good practice for RC too...but a bit easy than what wud b there in actual GRE..so keep on trying other stuffs too..but this is supposed to b ur first step..!!

Better than others book like Barron's, and perfect book for verbal. If anyone don't want to join coaching than purchase this book and also use Manhattan verbal book
