Pako floss holders are a great way to organize threads on large projects. Love them, easy to use, and these are made better other brands.

Great way to keep your needles ready to go
This is my second one I've had one for years. If your a cross stitcher you need this, I have a big project so decided to purchase a second one. Good size, quality is great I know I've had my first one more than 10 years the cards you write on I use pencil so I can erase & reuse again. Nice having needles threaded ready to go

I don't know how I ever did stitchery without it.
If you have an embroidery or needlework project, it's the only way I know of to keep the colors separate and easy to find. 6 or 7 colors are not a big deal, but some projects can have 25 or 30 colors, subtle shadings, and this method of sorting is the best I have found. Of course you have to already have or buy the plastic organizer it fits in.

Great organization
I purchased the two Pako Floss Organizers to deal with a cross stitch project having 89 colors. I'm so pleased with the ability to keep the floss close at hand, ability to pull one ply of floss out of sorter and not have to deal with bags or bobbins while stitching. I cut the floss into lengths that I want to work with and loaded it on the pegs. I ordered the bobbin stickers with floss numbers on them and put those on the boxes to identify the colors as opposed to the symbols. I now have five of these organizers loaded up for 3 different projects.

Wonderful tool for your current project
I use this tool to organize thread especially if I am working from a kit. It is transportable. It is MUCH more sturdy than the cardboard "organizer" that comes in a kit. AND I haven't had any trouble with floss getting tangled like I did with cardboard inserts that came with a kit. I have had several friends ask for purchasing information when they have seen how great it is.

Make sure you want to buy before placing your order - $6 fee to return the 2 I bought
These are a nice idea but lack full design. When I'm not stitching, floss is not protected from dust, spills, sun exposure, etc. It'd be a better design if it folded into a protective zippered case. I tried putting them in a tote, a large Ziplock bag, and even a clean plastic shopping bag - but the threads tangled with each try. Also, for large full coverage cross-stitch projects, I needed 2 (and that's just for the more common colors) and it would take forever to set up the tiny symbol sheets - plus there's no room to write the DMC # let alone any other type of floss identifier so at the end of the project, I'd have to look up all of the symbols to find the right thread maker/# to get them back into my main floss storage system. It'd be better if the floss cards were on a letter-sized perforated sheet that could be put through a printer. Again, nice idea - needs design improvements.

Useful
I am finding this item useful for keeping track of the floss for a large project. I do find it a little difficult keeping the floss strands separated when fully loaded.
