Online Metal Supply White Painted Aluminum Sheet, 0.040" x 12" x 12"

A nasty wind gust slammed my fence gate closed causing it to crack at the latch. Replacing the entire gate was really expensive so I bought this sheet of aluminum to make a repair. Using some tin snips I cut two 1/8” thickness sheets in the width of my gate post and reinstalled the latch over this. I filed and hammered the edges after installing because they were super sharp and I don’t want anyone cutting themselves. This solved my broken gate problem and provided an inexpensive, secure fix for the cracked fence....Now I’m not so worried about the dog getting out.

two corners were bent and black side had protective shield not white side, I needed the white side and it was all scratched, couldn't wait for return and replace so had to paint it and bend corner back straight
