Works well but its for more stubborn tasks. It lubricates too. Kinda a foamy for my taste. You can use a combination of this plus a regular cleaner for good results.

I originally bought Break Free CLP just for the exteriors and magazines, but it's proven to be a true all-in-one solution. This stuff is a workhorse—it cleans carbon and residue easily and provides sufficient lasting lubrication. I now use it for the majority of the cleaning and lubricating area of my firearms, only using a high-heat oil for specific parts. My one gripe is the flimsy nozzle straw they provide. I wish it had a sturdy, flip-up tube built right into the bottle.

you cant beat clp. Its bang on the best lubricant for arms. Ive used it on many different metals even door hinges it works wonders. Great at penetrating through rust and debris. The can holds up and doesnt rust. The straw attached didnt work but thats not important whatsoever.

Cleans OK but is is messy to use. Wouldn't trust it for real lubrication.

This is a great cleaner and lubricant, well worth the money. It saves time by doing both jobs. I highly recommended it. I still oil the major friction points, but this will lubricate and protect all of the other areas too.

This is a specialised gun lubricant, but it is so versatile. I first was introduced to Break Free when I worked in the Fitness equipment industry. Most of the manufacturers of strength equipment, use this to lubricate the moving parts of the machines they make, before being packaged up and leaving the factory. It is superior to silicone based lubricants like WD-40 because it is negatively charged and repels dust particles…which keeps the item cleaner. The things I like: 1) It has very low oder. 2) It is very light, which allows it to spread on its own. 3) This stuff doesn’t freeze…at all. It’s great for those who live in northern states, who have to endure frozen door locks or noisy car door hinges in the winter. 4) Just a quick spray is all you need. A little goes a long way. 5) It was originally developed for the Navy, so it is very water resistant and protects metal surfaces from rust. Trust me when I tell you this is the very best lubricant money can buy. It is great around the house and btw it is AWESOME for firearms.

In my humble opinion, it’s the best CLP out there!!
