## Description

PermaStone is the ideal casting compound when permanent, break-resistant castings are desired. It handles like plaster and has a stone-like finish. ACTIVA PermaStone mixes easily with water and reproduces the finest detail. If it happens to break the fracture is clean and easily glued/fixed. As it dries white, it can be painted with acrylics, oils, watercolors, tempera or any other finish! PermaStone is microwavable, non-toxic, and water resistant. Each bag includes 48 oz. of PermaStone.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this be rolled out and used with cookie cutters?**
A: It doesn't make a moldable 'dough', but I'm sure you could mix small amounts to pour into cookie cutter shapes, but you'll need to make sure the shapes are sealed well.

If you want to roll and cut out shapes, try polymer clay.

**Q: Can I use this to make plant pots?**
A: I don't see why you couldn't.  I would seal the inside just in case though, so the water doesn't wear it away.

**Q: can it be sanded? And when hard, can it be sealed with epoxy resin for outdoors?**
A: Done some light sanding on it with no issues and I have applied layers of resin with no problem.

**Q: What is the approx volume of mixed material per bag?**
A: It mixes in a ratio of 1.5 parts permastone to 1 part water. If you use a 48 oz bag you would need 32 oz of water to use up a full bag. It does not really expand much as it sets.
