If the glove don't fit...
You must acquit!a little thicker than I thought. So, maybe, not an ideal "search" glove. But, well made nevertheless.

I'm glad I did
I work in EMS and there are times when Nitrile gloves just do not "cut it" (pardon the pun) when dealing with certain patients.Heroin use is rampant and needles are a huge concern.I read all of the reviews concerning ordering a size larger but I went with my gut and ordered my normal glove size (L). I'm glad I did. Yes, the elastic cuff is tight, but that is exactly what I wanted. The gloves fit as I had hoped, but I went a step further as I wanted them to fit like a second skin. I put the gloves on, then dressed them with rubbing alcohol to relax the leather, and while wearing them, i used a heat gun at the lowest setting(a hair drier might work at the high temp, held close), to "contract" the leather to the contours of my hands and fingers.I need to be able to feel through My gloves like I can with My fingers. The glove leather as well as the lining conformed to my hands to My relief.I am prone to hand sweats when wearing leather gloves, and these do not cause hand sweat, at least not with Me.Once the gloves were fitted to My hands, I dressed them with Leather Honey to soften them for grip.I did not experience the odd stitching differences such as thumb, finger differences that other's have sighted in their reviews.I am VERY OCD when it comes to My uniform fit and My equipment performance and I can honestly say....these gloves are well worth the money and effort !I am ordering 3 more pair. (in case they stop producing them).

AWESOME
I have purchased numerous pairs of these Hatch Kevlar lined gloves over the years. They're a great fitting relatively thin glove with the added protection of Kevlar. They're a nice quality leather, comfortable, and very durable. I ride a motorcycle and wear them all year long, they're warm enough for cooler weather, but not too hot for the summer. They do not get all stretched out, and fit snugly but break in very nicely. The quality is such that I have never had them wear out, or break stitches. I have, however, seen them fade on the backs of the hand. no doubt due to hours of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight while riding, but this is to be expected. One note of caution, if they get wet, since they are real leather, you need to keep in mind they may shrink a tad if you dry them out too quickly. Otherwise I cannot say enough positive about these gloves.

One of my great finds on amazon
Great gloves!! These are my second pair in 2 years. My first pair are still holding up just fine, but I figured I should grab a second for back up. Can't beat the price!!overall fit is snug, but will break in beautifully after the second or so ride. The kevlar liner is just right, not too rough or too soft. The leather is pretty thick and the fingers are wide enough. Coming from a guy with chubby fingers.I run pretty warm in temperature, so an extra glove liner was not necessary in cooler temperatures. If you are sensitive to chilly weather then I recommend a liner with these gloves. Breathability hasn't been an issue for me during the summer time... not saying I haven't had a sweaty hand here and there, it's just not an issue for me.I wear an XL in most gloves and these were no different, though I do have some space on the top of my fingers.**image** new pair of gloves are on the left and the used pair are on the right.

Very Inconsistent Quality
This is my first time trying these duty gloves, my last pair were a different brand. However, even just within this single pair, the quality is extremely inconsistent. The right glove fits as expected and is a nice snug fit. The left glove however is much looser and the seams are of noticeably lesser quality. This is especially noticeable around the cuff, where the right glove is a nice tight fit around my wrist and the left glove is completely loose and looks as if the elastic isn't even there. The seams on the right glove sit nice and flat and are all flush with the sides of my fingers. The seams on the left glove are all over the place and don't sit flat at all, making them much more noticeable while wearing the glove.Even the leather appears different between the two. The right glove has a larger grain and appears shinier, whereas the left glove has a tighter grain and appears more dull. It is much more noticeable in person than in the pictures.I personally wouldn't really care about the difference in appearance since it doesn't effect the functionality of the gloves, however in combination with the other lack of quality control it makes it quite obvious that Hatch doesn't care about consistent quality at all, which is a shame because I run a lot of Safariland duty gear and have never had any complaints, so I thought that since Hatch is a Safariland company the quality would still be there, however I am very disappointed.

These protect. These last. These provide confidence.
As a patrol Deputy Sheriff, I've used this model of gloves for over 15 yrs. This is my 4th or 5th pair. They have all performed as advertised, saving on a few occasions from cuts and to a lesser degree unintentional needle sticks. The leather holds up to near daily use for years in my experience and become more comfortable as you wear them (minimal brake in if any.)For perfessional use, they are the compromise I'm comfortable with between a search glove, a shooting glove and a hands on bad guy glove.I continue to use them as long as Hatch makes them.
