Samsung USB to 21Pin Data Cable for Galaxy S5 and Note 3 N9000, White (Non-Retail Packaging)

I don't normally take the time to leave reviews on products I purchase here but am making an exception in this case. I bought two of these cables for my Galaxy S5. The first one worked fine and the second one was defective. My laptop would not recognize my phone and Windows informed me the last USB I plugged into the device was malfunctioning. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement cable. It arrived in faster time than my original order took that was placed through Amazon! All they asked was that I return the defective cable so that they could test it and the defective cable was mailed to them today. Both cables work flawlessly!So I am giving a big "Thumbs Up!" to the seller!Don't know why some reviewers say this will not work with the Galaxy S5. It most certainly does work with the S5. The cable is a tight fit, as is the OEM cable that I received with my phone. I notice that you almost have to be perfectly aligned with any cable you use on the Galaxy S5 and have to insert it straight in and not at an angle. It is not as forgiving as the mini cables on other phones.Hope this review helps those of you who may be undecided.I recommend these cables and I highly recommend this seller!

Had this cord for years with no issues. Great quality. Failed about 5 years in which I consider great for a charging cord. Fit great and cord length was perfect for what I needed. Most phones are type-C now, but if you need an older model cord this one is good.

After my charger cord died on me randomly one day, I spent over a week trying to find a replacement. I went to 4 different stores, plus calling my mobile carrier trying to find a cord that works with my phone and outlet charger. It was hard finding one with the s5 port. I purchased 5 different cords form various brands and stores and none worked for one reason or another.This cord works! There is no security message that pops up, it charges my phone via USB port or with my original Samsung wall plug. Great price compared to what they sell through Samsung. The cord does say Samsung, not sure if it's actually a Samsung product or not, but it works so I don't much care.My only problem is when I plug it into my USB port in my car. On my car's display/gps screen it says can not access USB. But it still charges, even if I have to jiggle the cord. Not sure if this the charger cord or my car's issue.

One of my grants needed it for their tablets. So I had a charger at my house. It's working fine. I don't use it on a daily basis.

I bought this cable because the USB cable I had from my previous phone didn't charge the Samsung S5 phone as fast as my AC adapter that had the 3.0 USB plug.****NOTE****When I first used this cable with my phone, I noticed that my battery was actually losing power instead of charging and was ready to call this cable a knockoff. If you have this problem, what you have to do is reset the phone while it is plugged into a computer with the USB cable. When I did this, then I noticed that my phone was charging nearly at the same pace as if I had plugged it into an ac adapter. Data transfer speeds from computer to my phone are also very quick.*****END NOTE****Overall, I would highly recommend these cables to anyone with a phone or tablet that drains battery life rather quickly (ie any of the new Samsung products).

Update: I received my replacement cord on 3/6/17 and it plugged into the phone perfectly! Charging fast again! I am very happy with the exchange process through Amazon and Samsung.I would suggest if you are looking for a replacement/extra cord for your Samsung Galaxy S5, verify the seller is Samsung (and probably fulfilled through Amazon.) That way, you are getting the real product and if something goes wrong, they have the 1 year warranty.Previous review:The cord I received had did not fit the phone and was completely useless. The inside of the connector was too thick to fit over the contacts inside the phone. I contacted Amazon and was directed to the manufacturer for the one year warranty that was provided with my purchase. When I spoke with the representative at Samsung, they handled the complaint quickly and at this time (3/1/17) I'm waiting for the replacement. After receiving the replacement, I will update my review.
