Seem well made
Fit on 4" fittings well. Included clamps work well. Using with 1.5 hp grizzly two stage dust collector. No problems so far.

Good hose
Good hose. A little tighter than other dust hose i have but works. Recently used it in a shop where it was below freezing. The hose stayed very flexible.

Bloody Mess!
Physically heavy. Worked with my Shop Fox perfectly. Tough enough that is doesn't fray or tear when using hose clamps. Each end had a razor sharp cut wire end sticking out. I didn't notice until I felt something wet on my shirt: blood everywhere!!! It sliced my bicep open. Be careful taking out out of the box.I used PVC pipe pieces (4" inside diameter pipe and 4" outside diameter insert pieces that you normally use to join two 4"pieces together) to make quick on/off fittings so the sharp edges don't matter. This is the only hose I'd use unless I switched to metal.Manufacturers of tools say that all plastic hoses need to be electrically grounded. There is a fifteen buck dust collector hose grounding kit that will do 50' or 25' in and out.5 star (really 4 for ruining a new shirt with blood). I've seen so many awful hoses that I'll overlook the blood: this is the hose you want.Update 4/30/18: still the best hose I've used or seen...I ordered another two 20' sections because I'm moving my dust collector unit to another room, then running the new hose through the ceiling to the work room. VERY NICE HOSE!!!!!!!!!!!GROUNDING WIRE: There has never, ever been a verified PVC static-caused dust explosion in a HOME wood shop.Someone commented: "defies all the laws of electricity! Plastic is an insulator." ....yes some plastics are very good insulators in a circuit, but layers of insulation and layers of conductance make for...a capacitor!! The build up of static electricity will ALSObe on the outside of the hose. Many manufacturer's are actually (on their websites) saying that a wire on the OUTSIDE of the hose that is NOT even connected to anything at one end is fine for static bleed off. Electricity is a FIELD, static electricity is not a circuit, so it's a bad analogy. I build Leyden jars with plastic cans and charge them up by wiping a dry cloth on a piece of PVC pipe and that is enough to charge them up to LETHAL levels WITHOUT THE CLOTH/PVC ever touching the Leyden jar. Further, the goal here is to not get a static shock when you touch the hose, the static buildup is an electromagnetic field "around" the material of the hose--not necessarily inside it. The risk of explosion of dust flowing in a hose is extremely small, the whole point of these systems is to take the dust OUT OF THE AIR your breathing so there also isn't a flash-fire, like happens in saw mills and coal mines. If you don't ground your dust collection PVC you will get NASTY static shocks from it...but you "probably" won't explode. You don't explode when you get a static shock any other time do you? The exception: open gasoline/gas pumps which are proven (on video) to actually easily be ignited by a static shock off a human finger. I forgot my point actually except that: you can run wire outside--AND SOME HOSE suppliers say the wire that runs inside hoses like this is totally enough: just ground at a single end and you won't get static shocks...but which end (shop vac or the table saw, etc.??).If you buy a ground wire kit, make sure to leave some slack near any joints in your hose--that way if you need to pull the joint apart to clear a clog you don't have to cut the wire.

Works Great
Split this between my Jointer and Drum Sander with both connected to my Dust Collector. Seems sturdy enough.

Fits Billy Goat Vacuum. Let's see how long it lasts...
I was tired of using the short and extremely expensive 7' long billy goat lawn vacuum hose. I bought the 20' hose and used it yesterday and it worked great for cleaning leaves out of bushes. This hose is lighter gauge vinyl than the billy goat hose, so I expect some tearing over time near the ends, but I figure with 20' to work with, I can just trim the bad ends off and keep using the hose. 20' is overkill and hard to store on the billy goat unit. The suction helps keep the hose constricted in length a bit, but once the suction is off, the 20' hose is a bit unwieldy to keep on the unit. Still, I would buy this length again and plan on removing the hose and using the green plastic hose outlet cover cap when I am using the billy goat for lawn leaf vacuuming vs bush vacuuming when I will need to put the hose back on. I plan on being as gentle as I can be with the hose (never pull the Billy Goat unit around by the hose or you will certainly rip the hose) and avoid sucking up oversize sharp sticks in the hose to reduce the risk of puncture. If you have larger mulch beds and need to park the billy goat farther from where the leaves are, get the 20' hose vs the 10' length and just be aware that onboard storage of the hose will be difficult and you may want to remove the hose between uses.
