Works!
Works great! Some newer PC cases seem to be using these all in one headphone jacks. You either need to buy headphones that have that style of plug, or you need an adaptor like this one for your regular headphones that have the normal (2) connections: (1) for mic and (1) for the headphones. This one works great on my new Lian Li 011 Dynamic Evo case. No issues with static. Keep in mind my case is new and I have only used this adaptor for a few minutes just to confirm it works. I do not use headphones that often. Build quality seems good.

Great for headphones with split mic and audio jacks.
I had an old gaming headset with two plugs (one for mic and one for audio) that I wanted to use for teleworking, but my work laptop only had one audio jack. I bought this adapter and it works as advertised. It is plug-and-play and works for the Windows laptop and my Samsung tablet. I've plugged and unplugged the adapter from the computing device many times over the past 6+ months, and so far nothing has broken. I'm very pleased with this product. It is a little pricier than the competition, but the quality is good. I like the metal housing around the jacks and the braided cloth/polyester cording.

Must READ - They Work, Try This!
If you're having trouble getting your microphone to work you need to know this: TRS only. If you have a TRRS microphone you must get an adapter to convert from TRRS-to-TRS. This UGreen splitter only works with a male TRS microphone. After finally figuring this out I can now use my Sony 1000XM2 headphones with my Xbox Series X / XSX controller. That's right. Use any independent microphone and headphones with your gaming console, smart phone, PC, etc.Bonus: can even use spare headphones that have an in-line microphone as long as you convert it from TRRS to TRS. So don't throw away those broken earphones with in line mic if the microphone still works!Lastly, does not work with Apple/iPhone standards. CTIA only. Android only.

Exactly what I needed.
A Dell laptop that I just purchased wouldn't work with stereo earbuds but worked with a headset with microphone. The fix was to have the TRRS connection from the laptop split into two separate TRS connectors for stereo out and microphone. Now my soundbar or earbuds can be driven by my laptop.Dell hasn't figured this out yet.

Fixes issues with car aux messing with your phone
If you're a dummy or a poor boi like me - you don't have android auto or blue tooth or a whole smart car system - and you're just doing headphones out to aux for audio. The problem is, Google would always think I'm talking to it or tracks would skip - weird stuff like that for no reason. I'm not sure why but I believe it has to do with regular stereo audio going into combined stereo audio + Mic. This splits out Mic and stereo audio into their own sockets - then I go audio to car aux and it works perfectly. Shoulda done this about a decade ago.
