Best for ballrooms
I much prefer the WL184 over the WL185 for its superior rejection qualities. When working in a reverberant ballroom it helps to reduce the chance of feedback. overall sound quality is very good.

Some of the best all around Lavaliers. Awesome for amatuer speaking engagements.
I have several of these lavaliers and use them constantly. The nice clip that it comes with is positionable so you can easily turn the microphone so it is always facing up. The clip easily secure the microphone so it doesn't move around and make noise. There are 3 types though, so make sure you get the one with the correct pickup pattern. I mainly use the 185 since it helps reject sound from below. My church uses these for our priests. The easily clip on to the vestments and keep it well within the 8" "Golden rectangle" so we get nice clear audio and little feedback, even in loud conditions. Highly recommend these. You need something more versatile, go with the WL93, much smaller, and good for news anchors or when it needs to be concealed. Any other time, go with one of these...

Works with Shure transmitter that comes with headsets
This is a quality microphone and works with shure transmitter that I had purchased with another headset. I opted for the lavalier mic because I wanted it less visible then the headset. The super cardioid picks up less background noise then the omni.

This is a great sounding mic once you get your EQ settings down. It does run pretty hot.

Works just like a Shure mic should. Well worth it when compared to other cheap mics.

DoA and poor compatability
When the mic came, it put out nothing but static. Soon after, nothing at all. It's also nearly impossible to find anything to interface with the TA4F interface, outside of shure's own bodypacks.
