If you need a bright red light…
It’s bright, really really bright

Seems to work OK except for the fact that it's way too bright.
It does allow for a lower brightness setting but all that is, is less bright. The battery containment system needs to be reviewed as well. Overall, for the money, and my seldom need to have to use one, I kept it. To get all the features some others had were too expensive, in my opinion.

Excellent for night flying. Lightweight and great price point.

Very comfortable and Good light
The light is bright enough to adjust my computer and telescope without interfering with my night vision. The headband is very comfortable and adjusts to different positions.

INSANELY bright, defeating its purpose
I want a headlamp I can use to set up a telescope without harming my night vision or bothering nearby astronomers. After a weekend fumbling around with a crappy headlamp that didn't work reliably and made it too easy to accidentally turn on a white light, I ordered this lamp that is just red. But it's so painfully bright that it will blow up your night vision, even on its "low" setting. Also its beam is either "narrow" or "tiny square for cats to chase", but if you remove the lens entirely you get a wide beam that may be suitable for fiddling with cameras or telescopes in the dark, provided the AAA batteries you use are nearly dead.

Great head lamp for hunting
This head lamp has been a favorite tool of mine when hunting. It has two settings one bright and one a little dimmer. This headlamp also has a strobe light setting... not sure when this would come into play, but I love this head lamp. It is very durable, it is comfortable to wear... although I’m usually wearing it over a backwards cap or a scull cap in the cold season. I really like that you can charge a rechargeable battery or use AA batteries. I usually use AA’s and find that I am not changing out batteries very often at all. I can’t say enough positive things about this head lamp.

Cheap flimsy cover to battery compartment.
I had several dislikes with the AuKvi red light headlamp. It was certainly bright enough, but the beam was too narrowly focused even when zoomed to the wide setting. The major rub for me, though, was the cover for the battery box. It would be an understatement to say that it just doesn't have the same design quality that most any mainstream, name brand headlamp will have. This is particularly true with respect to the battery box and its cover. The battery box was not anything like what I expected based on other prior purchases of flashlights and headlamps, or based on all manner of other things. It was of very poor quality, and this is if you ignore the cover on the batter box. The cover is a thin piece of soft rubbery plastic, a piece of limp rubber for intents and purposes, that has to be stretched a little to get it to stay on the box. When I put the headlamp on my head, I could easily feel the battery inside the battery box, against my head. It wasn't painful, but it was annoying and the overall experience was annoying in that I am annoyed to find something like this in something that I've purchased.
