Camelbak Cleaning Brush Kit

Love this product

I’ve had my eye on this camelback cleaning kit for a long time and finally bit the bullet and bought it a couple weeks ago. This set works great and seems like it will last for years to come with regular use. I could not be more pleased with this product.

I bought this because I own one of CamelBak's better bottles with the bit valve and straw. I got sick of using cotton swabs to clean out the mouth piece, so I bought this after I saw a reviewer had used it for such. It works okay, but I don't even use the larger brush; it's easy enough to get a dish sponge in the bottle part. As for the small brush, the gauge of the straw is slightly too large for the brush to really clean, but it does reach all the way through (unlike cotton swabs). I use the brush part (it comes out of the long tube easily) to clean between the twist-ridges on the cap. Regarding the mouthpiece, it's impossible to use. I'm convinced the mouthpiece is designed to be thrown away, which disappoints me. I'm sure it'd be much better if I'd been using it for a reservoir, but frankly, I like my bottle better. I just wish Camelbak made a device specifically for it.

I mainly purchased this for the tube cleaner. I noticed in one of my Camelbak's that the tube was absolutely disgusting. It took a bit to even notice it because it was the insulated tube so you can't just look at it to see that it's moldy. The brush cleaned it right up and took all of the mold right out.

I feel so clever for having spotted and purchased this little set! Okay, I have a vice and a pair of pliers. Yes, I could have bent the wire on my other bottle brush myself. But THIS brush doesn't scratch the bottom of things. It actually BRUSHES and, accordingly, CLEANS! And the little tiny brush on the long wire! Brilliant!

Really only needed the tube cleaner but the price was so good, way better than my local stores.

Never used it. I was not familiar with Camelbaks so I automatically ordered this cleaning kit. Rinsing a Camelbak with a mild bleach/water solution is good enough for me. I use the same solution to clean the hose. To dry the Milspec Camelbak that I own, I drain it, place two empty paper towel tubes in the bag to keep it open and it dries fast and completely. I personally do not feel snaking the drinking tube is neither necessary nor effective. Now I'm sure there are exceptions and I do not mean to say that all owners should do this.

I received my cleaning brush kit today after going for a long fitness hike. I used a 100 oz bladder pack and decided to use the kit to clean the bladder and tube. Both work as advertised, and the tube cleaner is, as reported by others, I bit difficult to use. However, like all things in life, I am sure the more I use it the better it will get.

CAMELBAKをしばらく使用していないと、黒いカビがパイプの中に発生していました。時々キッチンはいた―での消毒をしていましたが それが取れることがなく、試しに購入してみました。細いパイプ清掃もこれがあればしっかり洗えて、カビもきれいに取れました。ステンレスもバネのように伸縮があり、長いホースもしっかり手入れできます。洗浄剤はキッチンはいたーでもいいですが、メインテナンス道具としては持っておいて損はないと思いました。

Beim Befüllen meines Discounter Camel Baks sind mir Schlieren und Schmutzstellen aufgefallen. Beim Umschauen im Netz sind mir weitere Herstellern mit Reinigungszubehör aufgefallen, die wesentlich teurer waren. Ich habe mich für diese Produkt entschieden, da Camel Bak einer der ersten Hersteller war, die ihr Trinksystem erfolgreich am Markt platzieren konnten. Die Verpacken war einfach aber gut. Die Bürsten sind einfach zu bedienen und machen einen stabilen Eindruck. Die lange Schlauchbürste ermöglicht eine sehr gute Reinigung des Schlauches. Der Draht der Bürste ist stabil aber wendig was ein problemlöses Reinigen in der ganzen Länge des Schlauches ermöglicht. Für den Preis empfiehlt sich der Kauf in jedem Fall.

Must have if you own any hydration pack. Any use over a season or storing your bag will leave crud and bacteria in both the bag and the tube. Camelbak has probably my least favorite design for cleaning because you can't turn them inside out so this thing came in pretty handy.
