THOMSONMasterpiece Bicycle Seatpost

Thomson always comes through. I've been riding them for years on my mountain bikes. Being over 200lbs and riding aggressively I found that factory seatposts often lose their adjustment or even break on me. This seat is set it and forget it. Seat never loses its position. Easy to adjust perfectly, and the post is strong and light. I'm sure it doesn't have the dampening qualities of carbon, but on the mountain bike I'm not in the saddle as much and I need strength and durability. Having long arms and a long torso, the setback on this feels like a custom fit.

As a master racer on road, mountain bike, and velodrome for 30+ years I have Thompson seat posts and stems on 4 mountain bikes, 2 road bikes, and 2 track bikes. Key qualities, particularly for mountain bike racing and for match sprint track racing, is they never break and they never lose their adjustment angle; ( I weigh 180lbs when racing mt bikes and 190 when I am racing track)

Thomson is the best when it comes to seat post and stems. Best seatpost that money can buy. Highly recommended if you enjoy a stiffer ride.

You have probably read many reviews saying the same thing. As per the name, it's a masterpiece of a seat post.The rail clamps holds your saddle in its position and angle securely using the 2 bolt design and there are markings for you to gauge the angle of your saddle when adjusting. Not going to test the strength deliberately, so no comments on that.I have the silver one. The finishing is beautiful, it's light and does what a seat post should do very well.5 stars. :)

Purchased the Thomson Masterpiece Bicycle Seatpost (Straight, 27.2X330mm, Black). Quality from Thomson as usual. If you want durable light quality that will look and last forever, buy this. Thomson products will dress up any bike. Only complaint I have is the mount system could be re-designed for a cleaner look, maybe a single bolt attachment. "just sayin"

This is my 3rd Thomson Masterpiece Setback Seatpost. I have 3 bikes, all have a Thomson Masterpiece seatpost.I like a little more room in the cockpit. This seatpost also sets a little more weight over the rear wheel for better traction on sketchy uphills. As a matter of fact, it is my personal opinion, I believe it improves the way my bikes handles.Thomson makes the best stuff...hands down.This seatpost is engineered to be the benchmark that all other seatposts strive to be.Ride more!

The seat post arrived within 4 days, which was much faster than expected. This is a beautiful seat post! It is very lightweight yet built like a tank. The best thing about it is the ability to make micro-adjustments with the cleverly designed two-screw swivel system and the gradient markings inscribed. I have been on several long rides and it has functioned beautifully.

Carbon seatposts are great. Until they start squeaking. Or until you do a bad re-mount at a CX race. I hate squeaks and sideways seats, so I went with Thomson. My post was cheaper than the carbon post it replaced for the same weight. I was concerned about shock-absorption and durability, but the Thomson is both comfortable and tough as nails. I can't recommend it high enough.

Conscevo la Thomson dai tempi in cui gareggiavo in mountain bike. L'ho ritrovata dopo tanti anni con la medesima qualità e versatilità.I reggisella, in particolare, sono veramente ottimi a mio avviso. La sella è facile da montare e da regolare. Il reggisella è uno dei migliori per quanto riguarda il peso in relazione al prezzo. La fine zigrinatura che percorre tutta la canna, fa si che il reggisella non si muova dopo averlo serrato e nasconde anche i segni dovuti al fatto che, per inserirlo nel tubo di sella, a volte bisogna procedere come se lo si dovesse invitare nel tubo stesso visto che non è consigliato apporre del grasso per farlo scivolare dentro. Se volete rivenderlo sarà come nuovo. Veramente un ottimo prodotto e come sempre ottimo servizio vendita di Amazon.

quality, weight, design - thomson scores superbly on all three points.I have used thomson posts alongside some high end carbon models and other alloy models. nothing compares to the consistent superb quality finish of a thomson, masterpiece and the regular model. no nicks, no scratches, not a little flaw overlooked after it was manufactured.the weight of the masterpiece is still competitive even with some carbon models. it is fantastically light given its superior durability and more user friendly than carbon posts.the design of the seat position adjustment is still the best and generally copied by other seat post brands. non-indexed and smooth adjustment, plus all parts are available for replacement. 100% recommended.

Ich habe bisher noch nie eine derart präzis gefertigte Sattelstütze gefahren.Nachdem ich bei meinem Hardtail auch mit der dritten Sattelstütze gehadert habe,bin ich mit dieser Thomson hoch zufrieden, um genau zu sein begeistert!Ich bin jemand der sich an allen Arten von "Geräuschen" stört. Diese Stütze sitztsatt.Ich habe den Eindruck, dass zuerst alles am Rad kaputt geht, bevor diese Stütze nachgibt!

Ein Schnäppchen ist diese Sattelstütze nicht. Die Qualität ist jedoch ihr Geld wert. So gut wie jede vergleichbare, höherwertige Carbon Sattelstütze liegt preislich ähnlich und die meisten sind auch noch schwerer.Ein paar Gramm hin oder her sind sicher kein Thema. Aber die Stütze sitzt bombenfest, keinerlei "Geräusche", kein Spiel.
