I've been looking for a good batter to deep fry with and have this a try. I cooked some butterfly shrimp a couple nights ago and this tempura batter was absolutely fantastic. It was hands down the best fried shrimp I've ever had either homemade or in a restaurant. Next up is onion rings. This is on my don't be without it list.

I love General Tsos chicken. Not too crazy about the take out joints in my neighborhood, so I learned to make it myself. This mix is the best for coating chicken. You can follow the instructions and add ice water (for Tsos) or use it dry, to just fry chicken. It comes out just like the take out joints. I had to come here to buy it, as the only store that sold it, stopped selling it. Price is reasonable. I bought 2 boxes, just to be safe. I'll be back for more--count on it.

Used for years. Just use cold seltzer or club soda and follow directions. I love this batter.
