Devotions for Super Average Kids (Average Boy)

We listen to the podcast and I bought this book for my son for Easter. He used it every day and even took notes. I appreciate the humor of the Average boy but also the Biblical message.

My boys and I have had a few minutes of devotion time in the mornings for years now. I have gone through many books with them, and this is one of the best ever purchased! It's a great tool for opening discussions with your kids that you may not otherwise mention. To coincide with the content, it's very funny - yet practical at the same time. Would highly recommend for boys about to start (or already in) Middle School. Everyday, my boys and I look forward to the aventures of this Super Average Boy and it helps us all start the day on a happy note!

We love Average Boy stories because they are so funny, but inspirational too. My son loves Bob (Average Boy), the main character who tells the stories in first-person. He encourages kids to be funny (and do fun and creative things), but with an emphasis on Godly character.

My kids love this book. Our oldest son is going into middle school this year so the book is definitely geared towards him, but our 8-year-old son also finds it very funny and helpful. Each chapter has a humorous story with a lesson, and then the second half of the chapter always includes "Super Average Advice" which is the biblical followup to the lesson. It's so well written and holds their attention! We already read the second book too.

This book has brought so much fun and laughter to topics that usually get delt with either in a parental lecture, or when you are triaging a difficult situation. Instead of being taught a value, the value is caught through the humor of the story....and then exercised through the 2 questions based on a scripture verse. We have 2 boys - 11 & 13, and they LOVE it!!!

My 9 year old reads this over and over. Funny stories Christian based. I can’t be happier.

This is a great devo book for those heading into the tween years. The main character is a boy but my daughter loves reading from this every night! Great content and theology -- and funny! Recommended.

I use this devotion book for my wed. Night 2-5th grade kids and they love it. The stories are funny but have a great message that they can relate to. They anxiously await the next adventure. I highly recommend it.
