My favorite thing -- of things
I've had this book since shortly after it came out and it remains one of my treasures. Looking back on what I once found fascinating never ceases to amaze -- and often, amuse -- me. And each year I find new things to check off and new things to underline. I've also started making use more and more of the blank lines as I've gotten older. In addition, I've given away more copies than I can count -- at least 30 that I can remember. I suspect the number is far higher. Yes, some of the items -- programming one's VCR and such -- are now dated and the references to Windows on the World and the WTC will break your heart every time, but I absolutely believe this book has lasting merit. Just remember to personalize it. If you like part of a suggestion, but not all, cross the offending portion out. Adjust items to fit you and look at them from your special perspective. Unlikely to jog with the president of the US, but not with the the president of your local college? I say that counts. And I feel the author would agree.

Really Fun book
I like that many of the "wishes" are adventures you can actually achieve. However, some are very outdated. It would be nice to see a 2nd edition.

Love this book!
This book is wonderful! There are so many ideas of fun experiences I'd like for myself and my family. It has become a conversation piece between my husband and I, allowing us to share ideas/memories and get to know each other better. There were several things I was able to cross off instantly. I really love the blank lines where we can fill in our own Bucket List items not pre-printed in the book. I've given this as a gift for two people after receiving it myself from a friend. The only negative is that there is no real organization to the list. Its random and it can be hard to find an experience when you know you read it but don't remember which page. I've added a few sticky notes but still find myself having to re-read the entire book.

Perfect All-Year-Round Read
This was the book I kept by my side the entire summer! It was perfect for the beach or tanning by the pool! It inspired me to do plenty of things. I keep track and checking things I wish to do and have done! There are also blanks where I get to personalize my book. I'm telling you this is a must have and fabulous for passing time while feeling leisurely! I love it and have even recomended it to all of my friends. They were amazed that I even found a book that I was crazy about it! Don't hesitate to buy! I would do it all over again if I had to!

Good book...lacks organization.
This is a great book for inspiration on the person you want to be, the things you want to do, and the things you want to have in life. However, it is "all over the board" in organization, and some of the "wishes" repeat in the book. It would be nice if the book were organized better in categories (ie: travel, money, philanthropy, etc), even if wishes were repeated in more than one category.

Wonderful Author, and wonderful way to focus on gratitude.
I love this author and this book has been a big hit as a Christmas present for my 11 year old daughter. She's enjoying it immensely. And I bought 3 copies of Ms. Kipfer's 14,000 Things To Be Happy About and gave them to some of my favorite people this year. Excellent way to focus on gratitude, poring thorugh either of these two books.

The Wish List von Barbara Ann Kipfer - eine tolle Geschenkidee und ein wunderbares Buch.
IntroductionHow many times have you started a sentence with the words "In my lifetime, I want to..."? Perhaps what you wanted was something grand, like winning a medal for bravery. Maybe it was something modest, even mundane - a wish to chance jobs or to climb a tree. Maybe you wished for something fantastic - to be a country music star, for example. Or for something utterly practical, like making a budget and sticking to it. Your wish might have taken you to the other side of the world or as far aways as the moon, or it might gave meant just a walk around the corner. Maybe you wish to do something generous, or something just for you.
