Erudite and very informative and easily cross referenced to the original text of Herodotus. A great companion to How & Wells. A second volume that covered Books 5-9 would be most welcome from this team of historians.

I turn to this volume each day with an excitement nearly equal to the Greek original. SUCH a goldmine.
