Most soaps and shampoo break my hands out, dermatitis. I have been trying all kinds of soaps and shampoos from local stores and no luck. this has been going on since 2009. so i tried this soap and Aleppo soap and to my happiness the dermatitis no longer affects me, at least from the soaps and does clear up any break outs from other chemicals i come in contact with. So much for going to a dermatologist and his bills. Bought a 1lb. bar first, and after using it the first time i went and ordered this 5lb bar, because i was so impressed with it's cleaning abilities. Now i use it as a 3 in 1. The African soap doesn't have as much as moisturizing effect as the Aleppo soap, especially as a shampoo.These soaps have saved me a lot of money over what i have been using and doctor bills, so I'll be purchasing more in the future .This soap does have it's idiosyncrasies, sometimes i find impurities in the soap and it has some staining issues on towels ( black towels recommended)No matter, i will continue buying this and Aleppo soap until i find something better.

Our package weighed 4.1 pounds not the 5 as advertised! The soap works just fine. It's helped my wife and me with problem skin. We recommend this soap but we would like to see Amazon contact the people who make and package this soap to get the weight to reflect the advertised amount or change the ad and price. It's not good to expect a certain item to be as described, not almost a pound under weight!

High quality black soap. It has no scent. Black soap is not good for moisturizing, from experience couple your black soap with natural Shea butter (or other trusted moisturizer). Perfect for sensitive skin and or removing blemishes/bumps naturally and without chemicals.Give the process a couple weeks. Wash each small area in a small circular motion. For dry skin don’t let it sit more than 3 to 5 mins, but be consistent with your “black soap washes.” For the face, Morning and evening. For the body, once per day is fine.I find that keeping the black soap in the plastic wrap really helps the black soap maintain it potency.

Love it, Love it LOVE IT. This my 2nd order. My daughter introduced me to this soap, 8 months ago, been using .Great for my skin, lather up great. And it does not dry out my skin. The smell is not heavy, just right ( really no smell to me)
