🔧 Elevate Your Testing Game!
The Hioki 3030-10 HiTester is a manual-ranging, average-sensing analog multimeter designed for professionals. It accurately measures voltage, resistance, and current, with a maximum capacity of 600V and 3 kilohms. The device includes a battery tester for 1.5V batteries and can measure temperature with an optional thermistor probe. It meets IEC safety standards, making it suitable for Category III installations.

Much more robust than I thought it would be
Exactly what I was looking for. Case is unusually nice and doubles as a stand. Not the most feature packed but works well and just as accurate. Easy to calibrate and use. The one minor feature it could use is the the mirror backing for the readout dial. The dial cover looks to be exceptionally thick and sturdy and gives the appearance that justifies the extra cost etc. Numbers alone do not tell the whole story as in digital meters. Seeing a relationship between the increments combined with speed and value can tell you more about the object you are testing. Give me an analogue watch to read over one that flips numbers any day.

Great Analog Multimeter 60 µA and 300mV ranges for DC
Was looking for a well built affordable analog multimeter. The unit is very well built, a bit lighter than I expected. The plastic case is a bit thin, but it does the job to protect the multimeter. The unit has a great size, big enough for good reading, but adequate for portability. It has a great range for DC current (60 µA/30 m/300 mA) and for DC voltages (0.3/3/12/30/120/300/600 V). Keep in mind that the Battery Check 1.5V has a lower resistive load (10 Ω) for measurements under load.Compared to units that cost hundreds more, the only limitations I see are the 600V maximum (some of those units are 1000V) and the maximum range for resistance at 3 kΩ x 1K = 3MΩ (some of those units are 20MΩ).For the price available, this is an excellent Analog Multimeter and value from a reputable company and made in Japan.

Great Analog Multimeter
I bought this Hioki specifically to measure milliamps. I also use it for voltage and resistance measurements, more of a workbench meter than a field service meter, but it has a tough carrying case. It exceeds expectations.

Not quite sure about meter value, seems to be a bit pricey but works well.
First meter that arrived was used, not new. Had scratch on dial face, leads not tied up neatly, no instruction manual. Returned for replacement.New meter arrived 2 days later. Seems new, not thrilled that batteries were shipped installed and were weak. Replaced with new batteries. Instructions in English and Japanese included. Small print but through. Leads were neatly stored in case. Tested meter resistance scale continuity by shorting leads across all scales and it zeroed properly and hooking it to 100, 1k, 10k resisters, read resistance correctly. Tested against DC 25v power supply read accurately. Tested again AC house current, read properly. Tested current measurement across small test circuit with light bulb and battery (3v/200mA) and it read properly. Tested 1.5v battery setting and it works well, but seems redundant as DC voltage scale works fine with 1.5v batteries as well as other values. Would prefer mirror on meter face for more accuracy, buy over all meter seems to work well and accurately.Seems like nice meter, a little pricey, but has good reviews. Case is a bit flimsy, cheap plastic but hold meter and leads well. Main reason I purchased meter is that "Meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standard 61010 and is certified for Category III installations up to 600V. For most amateur users this is an excellent buy

Good value for the price
I think this is a good meter for the price. The only shortcomings I can see are the lack of a mirror to detect parallax and the supplied batteries are cheap, I replaced them with Eveready Lithium. If you are looking for a good analog multi-meter at a reasonable price then you should consider this Hioki.

A decent, analog multimeter.
I’ve been using this multimeter for several months and it works well, but it is larger than most handheld multimeters. Definitely not pocket sized.
