Use this successfully in home blend for horror show scalp psoriasis
I've been battling scalp issues for years. Tried everything. OTC products. Prescription products. Changing the time and frequency of shampooing. Nothing seemed to work and giving each new potential treatment 4 months to show any progress had worn me down after almost a decade of fighting this. Finally went sleuthing around on forums for psoriasis and saw multiple folks suggesting a home blend of this, Keralyt 5, and MG217. Couldn't get anyone to tell me percentages of a blend so I got all three and started experimenting about a year ago.I finally think I've found something that works for me (can't say it would work for anyone else, I'm not a doctor and didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night). Equal parts of Keralyt and MG217. Then use a MG217 empty bottle with the 50/50 blend until it's about 4/5ths full. Pour some of this coal tar solution to almost the top. Screw the cap back on, shake shake shake. I've worked myself up to an hour of "set time" where I put enough on dry hair scalp to wet my entire scalp, but not to dripping wet. Pop a shower cap on, go about my household chores for an hour, wash it out, shampoo with something else, condition, rinse. Once a week. And I only deal with hair twice a week now. Once with this, and once with a "cleansing conditioner" (Pantene).I also use the Hawaiian Silky leave in conditioner on my scalp after toweling hair. No blow drying. Just au naturale until it's barely damp, then twist it into a bun for the night. Wake up with curly hair. Easy peasy.I still periodically have a flare up in a specific spot, but for the most part the full scalp crust peeling horror I'd been battling for almost a decade has pretty much been tamed. I could wear black tops again if I didn't have dogs and a cat. (Pets and black don't mix well.)That said, I told my doctor what I was doing. She knew I was frustrated, couldn't suggest anything better that we hadn't already tried, and told me to be careful to not use it full strength. So check with your doctor. But yeah, this worked for me.

Stop sufferring and order this. Coal Tar is the only thing that controls psoriasis
Recieved August 10, scalp psoriasis gone August 13. Coal Tar is the only substance that controls psoriasis. Elta Lite discontinued making coal tar products. Lucky to find this. Used a 3 to 1(coal tar)solution mix with(any)moisturizer. My remedy: apply frequently each day. Use a shower cap when sleeping. Shampoo out in the morning. When it is under control, then appy once weekly. It isnt a cure, it just controls it.Note to manufacturer: tighten the cap before you package it. If there is a safety seal, mine came without one. Some of the product leaked out.

Psoriasis
Works good on psoriasis. Totally took it off of my scalp and ears and lessened it on other areas. I mixed mine with baby oil. 1 to 3. 1 being the tar oil.

Very strange
When I received this product, I read all the information on the bottle. It had no instructions for use. It says “for compounding”. It also says “not for retail sale”. I’m looking for a replacement for Oxipor since I can’t get that anymore. Why could I buy it if it’s not for retail sale?
