Cremona VP-202 2-star Violin Bridge - 3/4 Size

I was nervous to replace it by myself but I looked online and watched a bunch of videos. It’s definitely a precision piece. I have good tools, I took my time and successfully replaced our violin’s broken bridge. It is a student violin and, not to brag, I did a better job than what was originally there. This bridge is basically the standard brand and does well.

Ok, maybe everyone who uses a violin knows already, but for a novice like me, it wasn’t apparent from the listing that the bridge needs to be cut on top as well as needs grooves inserted (for the strings). Not an easy thing to do!

It does take a little woodworking to fit the shape & height to your instrument. This is a good product, just be aware none will likely be drop-in replacements.

The bridge is nothing fancy, but was an upgrade for our second hand violin. Please note that bridges do not come ready to be installed, but must be shaped by a professional first. We didn't realize that, but thankfully someone told us before we bent things out of shape putting it in.

The bridge is very thick. You need to sand it down a lot.The bridge is of not the right size for a 1/2 size violin. Find instructions online and chop it to get a better shape.But for the price, I won't complain.
