Learning Carpets Giant Road LC124, White

"Santa" brought this for my two sons (7 & 4) for Christmas. Santa chose this because unlike some of the other options, the mat is actually carpet (not plastic). I like that it is narrow because they can both reach across to either side, and it rolls up to a very convenient, storable size. It is easy for them to roll up and put away, it is very well made, and it has great roads, parking spaces, stores, pond, airport, and on and on. You won't be disappointed with this. My kids are pretty rough with their toys, and I can see that this is going to last a long time. Its durability would probably work well in a daycare or doctor's office too. I did take note of another reviewer's fear that it came with a picture on the outside, so I was on the lookout for it so my kids wouldn't see. However, it appears Amazon may have taken care of this issue, as it came in a regular Amazon box (no photo). Maybe the other reviewer got it shipped directly from another source.

My 4 year old loves this mat and driving his cars to the various destinations. Some of the obvious destinations are: school, zoo, airport, train station, police station, fire station, hospital, pizza, gas station, duck pond. There are also quite a few that aren't obvious that we call the mall, farm, park, library, garage, church, home, his friend's house, etc (you can use your imagination). It also has stop lights, cross-walks, parking lots, what looks sorta like a bridge, and the word "stop" but no actual stop signs or other signs. It has a non-skid back (although we use it on carpet), seems very durable and rolls up easily. Best of all, my son is no longer driving cars all over everywhere and everyone because driving on the mat is so much more fun.

This was a Christmas present for my 2 year old son, and he loves it! It's very durable and a great quality play rug. The size is not as wide as other road map rugs, but it works well in his room and is pretty long. Hot wheels cars are the perfect size for the roads. There is a good variety of buildings and landscaping on the rug, and my son loves to name each thing he sees. The roads are also connected well, so it's easy to push cars along them. There's even a couple of arrows directing you to "drive" down the correct lane. I am so very pleased with this purchase... it is much less expensive than others out there, not to mention every little boy should have one!

This is a nice play mat. First, no yucky chemical smells! Long, plenty of play space. Colorful. Can use cars, planes and trains with it. My 3 year old grandson, hasn't grown tired of it which is worth five stars! Rolls up, easy for little guys to pick up and move around. Lays flat. Easy to clean and doesn't pill, and the colors stay bright even after being walked on and played with a lot. Good price for what you get..

I want to give this a decent rating because it is well-made, the colors are bright, and the roads are the perfect size for matchbox cars. I am also glad that I read the reviews and picked this one. I almost rejected it because of the shape (long and narrow). But if you have multiple kids playing with it (I use this one in our church preschool room), this shape is perfect. Kids don't try to sit on it and get in each others' way. Four or five kids can easily play at once. BUT you can get these "road carpets" elsewhere much, much cheaper. Although I think this is a good carpet and the kids like it, I would probably look for something cheaper if I did it over again.

My 3.5 year old son loves this rug. He was always asking to "build a road" out of his blocks in order to drive his cars through, but now it's easy to unroll the rug and drive around on it. It's a thick rug and does not bunch up easily on the living room carpet while he pushes the cars around. When he's done playing on it, I roll it up and stick it in the corner by his toy box. I like that the roads are wide enough for a Matchbox or HotWheels car to actually fit in a lane. I've seen other rugs with 2-lane roads but the whole road was as wide as a Matchbox or HotWheels car. I think my son loves the parking spots best.

Bought this along with a package of Hot-wheels cars for my 3 1/2 yr old son. It's Christmas morning and he has played with it for four hours straight. The quality is excellent, no slip backing great on hardwoods, and the size and oblong shape make it a perfect fit in almost any room. It is about the size of a rug runner. Couldn't be more pleased with the purchase (I mean Santa's purchase)!

I purchased this for my 2 year old nephew. It's a well thought out item. The carpet is long enough for both nephews ages 2&5, to play on it without getting in each others way and narrow enough to reach most places. They drive their cars and trucks to various labeled places. It teaches them how a town is laid out, something hard to visualize in real life as most are rather large. I liked it for the creative play. They think about where they want to go and hopefully folly the road to get there. It was the creative, no batteries, only brain, required aspect I really liked.

This is a great fun carpet for kids. My grandson, who is just over 2,loves it and plays quietly with his matchbox cars on it keeping him entertained for long periods of time (considering he is an active 2 year old, quite an accomplishment!). It is one of the best detailed and biggest carpets of this type I have seen. I believe Ikea has one but not as nice. I highly recommend it as it is easily stored which is a bonus for us grandparents who need to stow away grand-kids toys when they are not around. It is something different that he does not have at home or at his other grandparents house so he is always excited to play on it. It was a worthy purchase which came in a timely fashion and I would order from this company again.

Me gusto el tapete ya que permite a mi hija jugar a gusto con sus autos. No ocupa Mucho espacio pero el tamaño es Ideal para que ella se desplace libremente. Se almacena rápidamente y no ocupa mucho espacio. Es lavable. Recomendable!

The kids love the mat & it is of good quality. I bit smaller than I thought it was going to be but the kids still play with it lots & I think it will last a really long time.
