It took one day to fall in love with this brewer. I brew Asian style, a lot of leaf short brew times and five or six infusions with my greens and a whole lot more with my pu-erhs. This thing is simply awesome, because you have a seperate chamber for your leaf. Once you've finished brewing you just screw the bottom off and drink directly from the container or pour it into a cup. It can't be simpler. Some purists may argue that there is not enough room for the leaf to brew properly, but I consider it a trifling matter. Just a little less leaf, perhaps a little less water and you're good to go. I've brewed delicate Dragon Wells and Sen-chas over and over and it delivers. Also, the Leidfor is easy to clean and made really very well. To the builders and distributors of the Leidfor I would like to extend a very sincere thank you. Your product is awesome!

I was looking for a tea tumbler that was:1) Portable - I liked the 8oz. size. Other ones I found were 12 oz. or more, making it heavier and bulkier than I needed.2) Easy to clean/prep - I use this everyday so speed is important. For me, I found the extra twist to let the water in is not necessary and took extra time. I get that it gives more control for when to start and stop seeping, but I can also just flip the tumbler for that. A little bit of my tea leaves also got stuck at the spring where I am unable to easy reach.3) Fine strainer - Some tumbler had finer strainers. This one the strainer is not as fine as I like. However, it is something I can live with.4) Durable - I don't remember the last time I dropped something. It's been years! However I ended up dropping this one 2 weeks after purchase. It however taught me to use the cuzi that was included which I initially ignored...Even though I have minor issues, I still give it 5 stars since this has still been my favorite and none of my complaints are deal breakers. I already bought another!

Bought for my wife, who is something of a loose-leaf tea connoisseur. She uses it several times a week and loves the ability to brew the same leaves for a specific time, and still re-brew without any mess.

It's a very wonderful product. It's actually a lot heavier than I thought it was going to be, not in a bad way. My only complaint is that the holes are a little too big for some of the lose tea I have but it's nothing a tea bag can't fix.It makes drinking tea at work so much cleaner and easier. I love it.

Everything is good but the functionality,But then what is the point, only can be used with loose tea that has very large grains.

This is the most convenient tea utensils I've ever used yet! But the top cap functions as a twist switch while withstanding water pressure just leave so many questions for the mechanical reliability. Matter of fact I got mine a few days ago, the top cap already leaks very slowly. It's an elegant design nonetheless, BUT, is the twist switch or open and close the gate between tea chamber and water chamber even necessary??????????????? No, it's not, I leave it at open at all time, to flip the bottle downside up is sufficient to separate the water from tea. SO, I'd love to see the next version of this cup comes without the fancy(useless) twist switch but better seal and reliability!!! Love and critic from a fellow designer.
